RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jinx for Lilu
By Nathan

Jinx Fireboot has a problem, he's found: a pretty little thing following him around; No matter how he tries to get away, she's right there behind him, tryin' to say "Hey!".

And she comes right back, the very next day; she comes right back, tryin' to get his attention. She comes right back, and she's not gonna stay away.

When they're walking around, it's quite a sight, with a sweet little lass at his heels every night. At first he wanted to shoo her, but now he's warming up to her.

Because she comes right back, the very next day; she comes right back, tryin' to get his attention. She comes right back, and she's not gonna stay away.

No matter how you might put off a friend, persistence wins out in the very end. No matter how he tries to hide his face, she'll be there to find him most anyplace.

Because she comes right back, the very next day; she comes right back, and she's gotten his attention. She comes right back, and she's never gonna stay away.

From Sahja to Jinx
By Nathan

You're a fun one, Mr. Jinx, and full of energy
You're as cuddly as a moogle, as refreshing as mint tea
Mr. Jinx.... come spend some time with me!
You're a sweet one, Mr. Jinx, so precious when you fuss
It's incredibly adorable when you're worrying for us
Mr. Jinx... we've so much to discuss!
You're persistent, Mr. Jinx, and you never do give up
So come join me for a soiree, and I'll pour you a cup
Mr. Jinx... come out for a sup!
You're a grand one, Mr. Jinx, and my song is almost done
I'm hoping we can meet up soon, and share a little fun
Mr. Jinx... a friend to everyone!

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Dormu to Sahja
By Nathan

Come be with me, my charming one, and we will leave no whim undone
That moonlight, waves, or hills and fields, or midnight fascination yields
Let us sit among the flowers, and while away our languid hours
By riverside and crashing falls, where songbirds share their lovers' calls
And I will spend the evening long, to hear your voice, a siren's song
To carry beauty o'er the air, a joy to lovers anywhere.
A gown we'll find, of finest wool, which from the pretty lambs we'll pull
And matching slippers, sewn with gold, to guard your feet from pressing cold
A belt of silk and silver sheen, a brocade fit for ancient queens
I offer to you, lady mine, if you will fall to my design
And if these gifts your love may move, then let them all my passion prove.

From Sahja to Dormu
By Nathan

In world and love, we remain young, with many ballads still unsung
And all you are, to me, does mean, that I will gladly be your queen
Your eyes change for me, vibrant hues, and gladly will I be your muse
To see the love from them unfold, in silver, topaz, green or gold
And also shown upon your hair, so do forgive me, if I stare
So let us frolic in the fields, among the springtime's verdant yields
Your honey tongue, my loving one, will warm my spirit like the sun
Let us stroll by streams and boulders; let us feel our passions smoulder
Let me dress in finery unmatched by all nobility
And never once would I decline, to find my bliss in your designs
For all your gifts my love has moved, and let this song my passion prove.

(These two are based off a set of answering songs, so they've been paired in their post.)

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Finecia Hawke for R'lexia Thras
By Jaques

Alone you stood, a lighthouse in this treacherous sea.
The trials of time you've weathered,
shining your light to guide all those who see.
For family and friend you've endured.

Your beacon burns so bright,
So pure, so sweet.
Banishing darkness's blight.

And did you know, your light shines the brightest for me?
Shadows covering and binding,
I was drowning until your light set me free.
So radiant it was blinding.

Your beacon burns so bright,
So pure, so sweet.
Banishing darkness's blight.

We are bonded, my love, soon so eternally.
I wish for power,
to keep your flame burning continually.
To protect your tower.

Banishing Darkness's blight,
For all we meet.
I will follow your guiding light.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jinx to Thorne
By Nathan

Everyone used to wonder why I called for you all the time, but what can I say?
You were always there to fight my troubles away
Every time I needed help, you were there at my side
And if it gets me out of mischief, Thorne, then I'll always abide
Now I insist on telling you this: you bring me bliss!
And if you want to know what the reason is
I'll look you in the eye, and I'll tell you why.

Because your fists, your fists, are on my list
Because your fists, your fists, they never miss
Because your fists can handle this, when I'm caught in a fight
Because your fists, your fists are on my list
Because your fists, your fists, are good at this
And when I need the Maple Syrup jar opened up, you'll come help me tonight.

Since we were young, you kept your eyes on the lookout for me
It means so very much, and I hope you can see
That when trouble always seems to be following me around
You're there with a roundhouse kick, to take my worries down
So, I insist, on telling you this: You are my bliss!
And if you ask me what the reason is
Look for the light in my eye when I tell you why.

Because your fists, your fists, are on my list
Because your fists, your fists, they never miss
Because your fists can handle this, when I'm caught in a fight
Because your fists, your fists are on my list
Because your fists, your fists, are good at this
And when I need the Maple Syrup jar opened up, you'll come help me tonight

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Arrelaine to Kylar
By Nathan

Listen to me, and I'll tell you a tale of two hearts, and of their story,
Of how she cared for him oh so much, and all the charms he did possess;
It didn't happen once upon a time, when things weren't quite so complex.
How she could be like the books he loved, perhaps a girl for whom he could obsess?

Let me be your storybook lady - I'll be more real than the pages you read.
Let me be your storybook lady - Let me be everything that you need.

In the stories, there are powers so dark that the world is in crisis.
But let me take the journey with you that confounds their devices.
How I hope that you read 'tween the lines for the feelings I'm sending.
How I'm hoping you'll skim through the pages and see our happy ending.
Swoop me up like I'm a storybook princess, let me see our next chapter.
Kiss me like you're my storybook hero, living happily after.

Let me be your storybook lady - I'll be more real than the pages you read.
Let me be your storybook lady - Let me be everything that you need.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jaques to Vaughn
By Xenedra

When we're off fishing, the time goes so fast
It's not only your line, but a spell that you cast
And so I'm transfixed, enjoying the view
Since no one can handle a pole quite like you

In the kitchen together, we always have fun
You bake in a whirl, making cinnamon buns
Now bend over, love, and I'll give them a bite
Tasting your sweets with voracious delight

Sweet, golden Songbird, come a-walking with me
We'll ride up to the mountains and swim down to the sea
We'll explore every spring, lake and river between
And for the last stop, my favorite ravine

And when your lithe muscles ache with use
After long weeks of strain and abuse
I'll take you to Bronze Lake to soak and to sweat
Where you'll lose all your worries and glisten while wet

What can I say, love, I'm so happy you're mine
With your grace and your poise, you're absurdly divine
Please open your mouth, love, and sing me your song
Just show me those lips and I'll sing right along

Sweet, golden Songbird, come a-walking with me
We'll ride up to the mountains and swim down to the sea
We'll explore every spring, lake and river between
And for the last stop, it's my favorite ravine

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Dormu to Zable
By Nathan

You keep showing everyone your muscles
Sure you are a friend, but confess
You keep quipping, every time someone needs a quipping
All your jibing makes my mind regress.
You must be made for punning, that's what you always do
Too many cheesy puns are going to get the best of you.

You keep flashin', as long as you can roll the cash in
Good thing that you're there when I need a friend
'Cause you’re always leavin' in inconspicuous places
When your supply of quips comes to an end
You must be made for punning, that's what you always do
And one of these days those puns will get the best of you.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jancis Milburga to Coatleque
By Nathan

Know how strong that I can be, when you're me, Cici.
Know how strong that we can be, if you stand beside me.
Let me dare to send this song, and share these thoughts with you.
No matter what the path we take, I'll help your dreams come true.

Like a sister, you are to me; you never seem to tire

Of helping me along my way, like a guiding fire.
At the hearth or at the front, let victory come to you:
As Soldier or as caring mom, I'll help see you through.

Let all of Eorzea know, All that you mean to me
In the home, behind the shield, always be my Cici;
So I dare to send this song, and pledge myself to you:
No matter what the path we take, I'll help your dreams come true.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Janics Milburga to Iron Sea
By Nathan

What lies beneath an Iron Sea, the things that strangers cannot see?
When the waves are calm, from shoal to shore, is he but the man that we adore?
Placid in the stiller air, with shoulders that heavy burdens bear,
His friends kept safe from port to pier, on gentle tides when skies are clear
Yet ring the mast’s alarum bells, and foes beware his crests and swells,
For enemies both fierce and fell shall be resigned to briny hells.
And every treasured friend shall be kept safe upon the Iron Sea:
Hard as the clamshell, soft as the foam, a bastion against the gloam.
And should your skies be tempest-tossed, and hidden reefs do you accost
Fear not, for we shall come across the precious trinket that you lost.
Upon this day, Sword, be not blue.
All our regards go out to you.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jancis Milburga to Oscare Iono
By Jaques and Nathan

With a flex you cause reaction,
to your joyous sense of fashion.
With a wink and whirl you create,w
songs and scenes most elaborate.
For a bard, you really are the epitome.
It's no wonder you're a part of Soliloquy.

And when you smile it lights up a room,
a treasure that has caused many to swoon.
Now if you'll indulge my selfish plea,
that you'll save a few smiles just for me.

When you're playing for the crowd,
and you're singing your soul aloud,
all your friends you can plainly see,
gathered 'round like a great big family.
We’re there to see you, you’re all the rage,
And we’ll be there still, when you’re offstage.

Now I am cheering you from the crowd
can you hear, even though they're all so loud?
Oh if you'll indulge my selfish plea,
that you'll send a bright smile, just for me.

The tales you tell are truly a delight
I’d listen to them late into the night.
The sound of your voice, there’s nary a frown
Oscare please, you really need not be down.
So at the risk of sounding quite tacky,
I hope you know: It's okay to be happy!

Now smile that smile that lights up a room,
a treasure that has caused many to swoon.
And if you'll indulge my selfish plea,
that you'll save some time, just for me.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jancis Milburga to Otto Vann
By Nathan

Oh, Who are you taking home tonight?
Oh, To sit beside that red fire light
With whom... are you sharing all your wealth
Oh, Otto Vann, come tell us all about yourself

Got dressed up, for I was bored, in the best clothes I could afford
Thought that I would be the pinnacle of chic
Until I met up with the gent, who many stacks of gil had spent
Upon an outfit that left all the ladies weak

Spent many nights with many bands
Playing in taverns o'er the land
Seen many a dapper man along the way
But every suit that they can muster
Will just leave them wrought and flustered
When the Uldan king of fashion comes to play

Oh, Who are you taking home tonight?
Oh, To sit beside that fire light
With whom... are you sharing all your wealth
Oh, Otto Vann, come tell us all about yourself

Prob'ly own a dozen houses, and your eye for ladies' blouses
Makes the other fashionistas cry to see
You may live your life for pleasure, but you're still the biggest treasure
That will grace all Thanalan's nobility

Oh, Who are you taking home tonight?
Oh, To sit beside that fire light
With whom... are you sharing all your wealth
Oh, Otto Vann, come tell us all about yourself.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jancis Milburga to Tausenadel Geispyrsyn
By Nathan

The Coral Sea cookout was going full swing; almost everyone around had just arrived

Popotoes were on the grill, and the drinks began to spill, leavin' everybody feelin' quite alive.

The kabobs were grillin' down when Yellow-coats from Limsa-town showed up and started tellin' us to flee.

They said, "Everyone should leave, for you really must believe, that sailor corpses are a-crawlin' from the sea!"

That's when Tausenadel said, "We ain't losin' this cookout to undead!"

It's a Popoto Cookout Beatdown time! We're roastin' up the popotoes for you.

And if the undead won't behave, we'll knock 'em back into the waves from this here Popoto Cookout time.

The zombies started shamblin' in as everyone was stammerin', a-wonderin' why the sodden dead had rose.

But the answer became clear, that all the undead sailors here were just followin' their nose.

Instead of simply packin' up, the chef then started smackin' up the zombies with his trusty grillin' tools.

And he shouted to the crowd, with a voice all deep and loud, "My popotoes ain't for no zombie fools!"

Then everybody cheered, and started bashin' undead 'tween their ears!

It's a Popoto Cookout Beatdown time! We're roastin' up the popotoes for you.

And if the undead wanna fight, well, we've got all day and night for this here Popoto Cookout time.

When the skirmishin' was done, it was clear that everyone was covered head to toe in zombie goo.

But Tausenadel manned the grill, lo and behold it was still filled with perfect popoto kabobs .... for me.... and you.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Jancis Milburga to Coatleque
By Nathan

Are you the warrior, a'clad all in white
Or is that one a leaf upon the wind?
Are you the loving one, with eyes all alight
In rainbow hues that have no end?

Too many nights, perhaps, you've held up your shield
Against both enemy and friend.
Whom are you saving with the blade that you wield
And whose is the life that you might spend?

May all that you love, all that you love,
All that you truly love come to you.

To you, we raise a cup, and sing to the moon
A thousand voices toast your name
But is the woman that wears Sultana's white
And the truth of you the same?

May all that you love, all that you love,
All that you truly love come to you.

How many souls have you preserved with your strength
And how much of your own would you spend
However much, Ser Crofte, it has been enough
Else I'd have been that leaf upon the wind.

May all that you love, all that you love,
All that you truly love come to you.

RE: Valentione's Telegram Songs - Xenedra - 02-24-2015

From Mackayla (Secretly!) to Tyriont
By Calico

Ye took me heart and locked it in
A chest with rum and gold and gin
Then sailed away to raise a din
In ports so far apart

But I caught you up before you knew
And stole yer ship and stole yer crew
So now we share a grog for two
The Pirate O’ Me Heart.

I’ll always best you with a blade
Drink you under any table made
Ye loose your arrows, I’ll evade
So stop before ye start

But when I sail the shining sea
No other fool they’ll ever be
Swabbing the deck right next to me
The Pirate O’ Me Heart

Together ye and I shall stalk
The waterways and cliffs of rock
Until the plank I make ye waaaaaalk
The Pirate O’ Me Heart
