Where: Gridania at the Mih Khetto's Amphitheater.
Hosted by: Seraphine Winter, aka Glimmer Stardust and the Adventures of Valinor.
Description: In order to promote her new song, Glimmer Stardust will be hosting a Eorzean Star Search Talent show. From singers, dancers, jugglers and storytellers, come show off your talents at the Eorzea Star Search contest! Participants must present on stage a short performance to both show their stuff and entertain. Style, originality, and self-expression will be the focus as our talent competes for a 1,000,000 gil prize. There will also be a 150,000 gil prize for the second place winner and the third place will receive 50,000 gil. The prize money will be divided evenly by Miss Glimmer Stardust when awarded. Please leave your name with your local adventurer's guild should you wish to enter. If the allure of the stage alludes you, members of the general public are welcome to sit in the audience and offer their support to their favorite artists. A linkshell recording of Glimmer Stardust's new release will be available at the door as well as free promotional posters.

Yes. It's for real gil. The kind you can actually spend.
This is part of a server wide storyline I'm planning. Seraphine will be starting a music career as "Glimmer Stardust" and I have several events planned which involves members of the RP community as a whole. If you wish to take a linkshell recording of her new song, an imaginary pearl will be handed out at the event as well as posters for people's walls. If you do not wish to participate in the storyline you may opt not to but please be respectful of those who wish to play along. Hopefully this will be fun and entertaining for all!
Rules:
1. Be respectful at all times! Do not make fun of or put down peoples performances.
2. You may create any type of performance you wish but it must have no modern themes (for example: no references to cell phones, etc.), contain no curse words, be no longer then 5-7 minutes (in real world time) and be suitable for a general audience. Singing, comedy acts, magic acts, etc. are all welcomed. We encourage people to use their imaginations!
3. You may do a solo act or work in groups of up to five. The prize money will be evenly split among all members when awarded.
4. You may wear any outfit you choose, complete with accessories.
5. Storyline is planned for this event that involves Seraphine's music career as "Glimmer Stardust". If you choose to participate in the larger storyline, please feel free. However, it is optional so if you don't wish to join in don't take Gimmer Stardust's linkshell recording or make a scene for those who are joining in. See rule one.
6. At the end of the night a panel of judges (based on the number of sign ups) will announce a first place winner who will receive 1 Million Gil. Second place will receive 150k and third place will receive 50k. Again, the prize money will be split among the people who participated in the winning acts by Gimmer Stardust herself.

Due to lack of participants this event has been cancelled. Pending post-phonement till after we see what 1.18 brings.
