II. RP Style
  • Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):
  • I suppose heavy?  I try to stay in character most of the time, however I understand it can be difficult in dungeons or pvp.  I try to remain flexible with the surroundings.

  • Views on RP combat and injuries:
  • I try to avoid combat between two pc's unless the fight is something that drives both their storylines.  Generally I leave balance up to the game engine, but in cases where there's a vast difference in levels between the two characters, I think it's something that needs to be handled in pms before the fight happens.  Injuries should coincide with their severity, but in the case of a subscription game where our time is very much money, I'm not against serious injuries having effects for only a few days or a week (besides, healing magic is pretty common here no?)

  • Views on IC romance:
  • A good IC romance can forge stories that last for years, but it can just as easily sour and turn into a creeper warning story or cheap erp.  Because of its delicate nature I'd avoid devying it up into A, B, and C columns and instead handle it with a good dose of common sense on a case by case basis.

  • Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):
  • I love family rp ,and many of my toons end up being related to one another, this can sour just as easily as romantic Rp though, and should be handled carefully
    .

  • Views on lore:
  • While lore of a world is the building blocks with which we work, I don't believe it should be handled in rigid fashion with no room for tailoring by creative players.  So long as a character isn't declaring themselves emperor of the world or denying the existence of a nation, does it really matter if they deviate from the lore just a bit?

  • Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): say is say, emote is emote.  Link shells, party, and fc chat should be handled to the majority's consent.  I don't respond to trolls.
