Au Ra/Domans and the Twelve? - AquiziTC - 04-07-2015

How prevalent are the Twelve outside of Eorzea? We know Garlemald don't show any idea of worship, and probably would deny it as aether manipulation akin to the primals. (And in fact I think it'd been suggested that the Twelve may just be primals in their own right anyway.)

I don't plan on going Au Ra or anything like that, I'm just curious on what people think or might know about it.

Well, The Domans... probably do have their own deities.. they worship Spirits and such. So I doubt they would be as athiest as the Garleans. The Domans and Au Ra will probably view them like the spirits back on Othard

The NIN storyline mentions how Domans worship... spirits, I think? Considering that all the animal helmets and such seem to also come from Doma, I've sort of been running it as including animal spirits.

Hence why Chachan wears the Usagi Kabuto. He seeks the fleetness of foot of the rabbit to make up for his small stature, and does so by honoring the rabbit spirit. All his knowledge of the Twelve actually comes from Jancis' pilgrimages. He's pretty oblivious to them otherwise.

As mentioned in the NIN questline (and I believe by Yugiri as well), the Domans don't follow the Twelve. Instead, like the Japanese they're based on, they believe in and revere the kami, or spirit gods, that are in all things.
