Hello, new to the community - L'ohba Tia - 04-09-2016

Hi, everyone. Just looking to introduce myself and hopefully make some connections. I'm not new to the game, but I've just started a character on Balmung for roleplaying, and slipping myself into the community seems like a pretty daunting task.

I'd say I'm a medium/heavy roleplayer. I like to stay in character as much as possible. I enjoy a more relaxed, day-to-day kind of roleplaying atmosphere. I've been playing since 1.0 and I love this game's world, so I just enjoy trying to live the life of a 'normal' person in Eorzea. Trying to see the world from the eyes of someone who isn't an adventurer or suited for battle. That isn't to say I'm opposed to more intense stories if I happen to get involved, but my character just isn't the type to seek out those types of things!

If anyone is interested in making friends with a small, feminine, miqo'te nerd with a love for all things Thavnairian, my in-game name is L'ohba Tia. I'd also really appreciate any tips for getting more into the community with my type of character. Most groups I seem to come across are adventurers or mercenaries, or people in similar professions.

Hi there L'ohab!

Well I would say there are many that like the style of RP you mention. I'd suggest looking for a suitable FC, but take your time and RP with them first. A Linkshell is a great way to contact many folks and some are aimed at RP help and connections as well as themed IC and OOC ones.

Go along to some of the events, there are many especially around the weekends and in your time zone. In fact there are several active taverns that are a nice place of around 3-9 people at any one time. They tend to be more on that "normal" interaction and slice of life style.

Always good to have some hooks to things, and I find simple things like selling a service, looking for something, some simple problem.. all serve to add that little extra dimension above "who are you and what do you do" RP.

RP is out there, let us know how it goes.
