[EU-Friendly] A Friendly Date Auction - Volume III 23-04-16. - Maril - 04-19-2016

A Friendly Date Auction
Volume III


Where: Goblet, Ward 6, plot 12 
When: Saturday 23rd - 21:00 BST / 4pm EST / 1pm PDT - Time converter here 
For how long: Depending on the auctions, anywhere from 2-4 hours.

Spring has finally come around, and it's time for the next installment of The Friendly Date Auction. At this auction, you can put yourself up or bid on two kinds of auctions: 
Friendly dates - Perfect for meeting a new person and getting a new acquaintance. Perhaps a friendship worth telling stories about down the line? Who knows! 
Romantic dates are for those who haven't found the one yet, but is wanting to give one more shot at a new romantic adventure. Spring is the season for lovers, after all!

Food, drink and good company is guaranteed! The lovely staff at The Sword and Skillet is on hand to help and welcome everyone who shows up. 


No real gil will be used for the auction.  Instead, when arriving to the auction, those interested in bidding will be allowed to exchange a small donation of IC gil, to what end they feel fitting, for 100 tokens that will be used for bidding. The tokens are finite and personal, meaning that you will not be able to get additional tokens, and you will not be able to use other people's tokens to bid with. A person can bid on as many auctions as they want until their tokens run out. 
All donations are passed along to charities and the upkeep of The Sword and Skillet bar. 

If two or more people bid 100 tokens on one person then the choice falls to the person who is being auctioned off to decide who they want to go with. So think carefully!

I encourage everyone to pick up tokens, also people who are otherwise being auctioned off.

All entries will be added to the first reply of this thread, so you can get an idea of what you want to bid on. There is a chance I will open up for last-minute entries, however such will only happen if there is enough time & I have enough help to manage it. 

Guidelines/Tips&Tricks:
- Please only bid on auctions if you have an intention to follow through, should you win it. 
- Sometimes dates never come to pass; consider initiating contact even if you were an auction that got won! Communication is key 
- Feel free to personalize your time on stage. Just let me know in advance if it's anything extraordinary! 
- Auctions get closed when the bids die out, there's no time limit, the only limit is tokens!

Side effects of Nathan Telluride include pleasant inebriation, standing on tables, sharing of stories, and a combination of sweet, snarky and pithy commentary. Avoid operating heavy Magitek while under this influence.

She is dark skinned with black hair that seems to be arhterically burnt white some time ago but maintained white over the course of time.¨

She's a small bit of shy, mixed with a lot of respect for the social structures of Ul'dah - she will not raise to meet eyes with a noble, due to an instilled nature as a peasant, but will show them all the respect they request. She is calm, never acting over the top or out of order, but is strangely out of place. She is a firm believer of sharing - and thus, if she sees someone without, or someone who is wanting, readily will give what she does have to make them even. Chatting may be a slight challenge, but communication is not impossible.
Patience, Charades of body language, and effort will create a happy atmosphere.
