This is such a cute idea! I would enter, but I work until 7pm PST during the week, so I wouldn't be able to make it to the drawing event. :] Have so much fun!

Hi guys!

It's sounding like the hitch with this for most people is coming to the little tavern gathering where the drawing would be held ICly... but on the other hand, if I were to give away gil without any RP happening, then I may as well just run down the streets of Ul'dah opening trade windows until somebody takes it, and that's no fun. xD

I'm still optimistic about the event, but I do need to put a limit on this: The point of a drawing is that there's a chance to win and a chance not to win. If there's only a few entrants, then it becomes all but guaranteed that they'll be the ones to win, and that removes an element of the fun. So the limit is this: If I have less than 30 entrants (giving, with 3 prizes, a 10% chance that an individual will win a prize), I'll have to postpone the event or rethink my execution of it.

It does beg the question, though... has participation on this site been waning? I would've thought this would have gotten more responses by now... I mean gosh, it's free gil just to come have some social RP and make some new friends... Sad

Defiant Bride will happily send in her application... she adores social gatherings~

Jaydhe managed to relieve one of the unsuspecting of the unwanted attachment to their backside without being notice (and therefore struck for being so bold as to touch). She very nearly disposed of the flyer but stopped in time to read it. The diminutive Xaela's brows lifted and her tail swayed in interest. That much Gil would enable her to purchase (or at least start saving for) a young untrained horse which was exactly what she wanted.

The added benefit was this thing called a vacation, whatever that was. It sounded either very relaxing or like a trap. She made a mental note to ask her friends about it.

Nodding to herself, she penned a quick entry and sent it off to to the organizers.

Alas, I haven't gotten quite enough response to this to make it much of a fair drawing for those involved, so as I mentioned previously, the event's being postponed.

However!

Those who did reply on here will be placed into the drawing for September, even without meeting any other qualifications for the revised contest (for which attendance will not be required at the date of the drawing, so don't worry over that), simply for the sake of being awesome enough to have signed up. :D

As for the details of how the drawing will work going forward... stay tuned for an upcoming forum thread! :3
