All Saints Wake Date Auction - Xelah Jakkya - 09-14-2016 THE ALL SAINTS WAKE DATE AUCTION! THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD ON THE “BALMUNG” SERVER ON OCTOBER THE 28TH, AT 8pm EASTERN STANDARD TIME ((that’s 5pm Pacific Time, for you West Coasters))!! Xelah Jakkya is hosting a Date Auction in the 6th Ward of the MIST Residential District. The Auction will take place in the basement of the 5th Plot. DISCLAIMER XELAH JAKKYA AND THE <<OHANA>> FREE COMPANY ARE NOT IN ANY WAY TO BE HELD LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ROLEPLAY THAT OCCURS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO EROTIC ROLE PLAY (ERP), OF THE POTENTIAL DATE PURCHASED. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF YOUR POTENTIAL DATE’S LIMITATIONS.  THEME! OUT OF CHARACTER COSPLAY This time around, we’re breaking the rules a little bit. To show our festive colours, all contestants must be cosplaying! But what’s the fun in cosplaying as Y’shtola, Cloud, Zidane, Lightning and all the other pre-existing cosplay sets? This time around, we challenge our participants to cosplay as any character from any other video game! The outfits may be out of character, but the fun is all In-Character! Let’s see what unique outfits everyone can come up with! THE IMPORTANT STUFF! PLEASE READ EVERYTHING BEFORE ASKING QUESTIONS! 1. All bids must be made in increments of 5,000 Gil. Beginning bid will always start at 50,000 gil. –- That means yes, This Date Auction WILL require actual payment. Please do not make bids you cannot afford. –- Increments not made in 5,000’s will not be accepted (such as 1,240 gil or 10,400 gil).  As long as it is 5,000, 10,000 15,000 (etc), it will be accepted. ((And yes, if someone jumps the price from 50,000 to 500,000 it is still acceptable, as it is a 5,000 increment. Just please try to not be “that guy.”)) 2. Once the final bid has been accepted, the bidder must pay immediately. Payment will be given to Xelah Jakkya (The Hostess of the event). –- Why not give it to the Auctioned Player personally? We want to make 100% sure that everyone gets what they deserve, and word of mouth is not a guarantee that a person has received their payment. 3. 50% of the Auctioned Price will go to the player being auctioned. 50% will go to The <<Ohana>> Free Company Chest. –- This is not a self-profit event. The only money that is to be made by any person(s) is the 50% of the amount auctioned for. The half that goes to the Free Company will be used to fund Krakka Roots for hourly training of Chocobos and other FC-related cooperative assistance. Wark! 4. If you are interested in participating in the Auction as a purchasable Date, please notify Xelah Jakkya or Zable Kynbiir.  –- You must provide a 3-5 sentence description of your character that you would like to be read aloud when you are on display during the Auction. This description is your chance to shine, and to get people interested in bidding on you!  Please also include if you would prefer only males/females/both to bid on you, if you do have an in-character restriction. We respect your characters intended sexuality, regardless of what your roleplay intentions as a date are.  -- Additionally, for this auction theme, please include a reference picture of whom you are cosplaying! 5. While this is not a RULE, please be courteous. Please do not bid on your mates/lovers. You already get them any time you want - let someone else have a go! WHAT TO EXPECT; THE RUNDOWN Players being auctioned will be called one at a time to stand in the center of the auction-area. Here, they can pose and move around as they see fit while The Hostess (Xelah Jakkya) reads off their pre-written descriptions. Once the description has been read, bidding will begin. Attendees of the Auction may bid in increments of 5,000 gil. The highest bidder will, at the conclusion of the bidding segment, pay the agreed sum to the Hostess. The Hostess will then give 50% of the payment to the Auctioned Player. The Auctioned Player may then step down to either join the audience and continue participating/observing the auction or may leave entirely if they desire, as the next Auctioned Player will be called up. After payment, the Purchased Player and the Bidding Player can discuss privately the details of their date. Sometimes a person who is being Auctioned may also wish to bid on other players. Please be respectful of this when you are planning the details (the whens and wheres) of your date! All persons who have signed up will be listed below. All persons listed will be contacted within a week prior to the Date Auction to confirm their participation. Players who are unable to be reached will be bumped down the roster in favor of those who have confirmed.  Additionally, walk-up applicants are welcome, but will be added to the end of the roster. All previous rules still apply (pre-written descriptions). IMPORTANT: WE WILL ONLY ALLOW 15 PERSONS MAXIMUM TO PRE-SIGN UP FOR THE EVENT, AND WILL ALLOW ONLY 5 PERSONS MAXIMUM TO SIGN UP ONCE THE EVENT IS IN PROGRESS. (FOR A TOTAL OF 20) IF ANY OF THE 15 PRE-REGISTERED PERSONS FAIL TO SHOW UP, WE MAY OR MAY NOT ALLOW MORE THAN 5 TO SIGN UP AT-EVENT, BUT THIS WILL ALSO COME IN A FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVE PRIORITY.
