Hullo everyone! - Belmont - 09-01-2013 Hey-ho!  My name is Belmont, and I am not new to MMORPG's to say the least.  I've played almost everyone available to date (keyword being almost, never been fond of the hardcore pvp ones like Mortal/Darkfall.) I'm not new to RP, but likewise I haven't actually done any in...probably two or so years. (Ok, well I did some in SWTOR, but I was still rusty then so it wasn't very satisfying.  Plus I only did it for a few days as the guild I rped with just...yeah.  Didn't really represent the community well).  Even with all that, I still am rusty, so at best I feel like I could only do light-medium RP with occasional pauses as I get writer's block more often then I'd like to. At the moment I've just been trying to get my character (Belmont Neowyld,)'s background history.  So far, I've gotten he's a Garlean defector that was the Decanus of a clean-up squad that suppressed villages and per-se "Bring them under the Empire's heel."  Having done it for the Empire for seven years, his conscience eats at him to the point that during the Calamity, he kills off his own squad in order to fake his own death to escape from the Empire where he makes his way to Ul'dah.  I don't know, I still have plenty of work I need to do on it, but that's what I got so far. On other notes, myself is named Michael.  Lessee, I'm a big Martial Arts fan.  Naturally my favorite movies being Kung Fu and Wushu movies (Ip Man being a prime example.)  I'm 23, and currently going to the local Community college in order to build up credits to eventually enlist and progress in the U.S. Army.  I have a bad case of Social Anxiety Disorder that I've been trying to get over day by day (I'd like to think so I'm getting better at it.) And uhhh...yeah.  That's all I got.  Oh, also anybody can message me if they need a tank :3 RE: Hullo everyone! - Uther - 09-01-2013 Ip Man is so sweet. I'm a big Donnie Yen fan, and I also enjoy some Kung Fu movies. Anything from the old cheesy 60's ones to the more modern ones that take themselves seriously. Kung Fu is rad. Anyways, welcome to the RPC. I'm Uther and I'll be happy to help if you have any questions about IC lore or the OOC community in general. (Disclaimer: my area of lore expertise is primarily based around Ishgard, so I might not be the best choice to help out with the Garlean defector arc, but I won't turn you away at the door either.) Overall, we're generally a friendly bunch and I assume the welcome wagon will be around any minute. That's pretty much all I've got.
