And it was no different tonight. The jiggle of gold bracelets and silver rings could be heard echoing on the quiet corridor; a wealthy Lalafell of obvious success strut along it with a confidence fit for Kings. His only bodyguard strolled behind him, mindful not to get too close or too far, lest someone approached his master unbidden. As the Lalafell happily tossed up his bag of Gil, rejoicing at his day's catch, little would he consider the peril he was in. For he was being hunted.

Then morning came. The streets bustled as the markets awoke. Beggars lifted their ragged heads took off to see what Gil and food could be scavenged. One such beggar had aged 20 years in 5. The poorest of the poor was he, and the twelve rarely smiled on him. He crawled out of his rags and out into the sun.

A crunch sounded underfoot. No it wasn't a crunch.It was the distinct sound of metal on metal. Then, a cold gelatinous fluid. The beggar looked down, his eyes opening wide in horror and amazement. There was a Lalafell, blood slowly seeping into the street - adornments untouched. Without any further alarm, the poor, desperate man stooped down. The gold was his!

Had he thought to look closer, maybe the perpetrator would have been caught - for in the Lalafell's neck lay embedded a single arrow, with a single black feather, and from the rooftops the silhouette of a bard, with his snapped harp in tow.
