So I noticed that you can save your character creation settings and there are several slots for you to save them to. Will those saves be transferable to retail?

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that no, they will not. Fortunately, since every option is numbered, it's easy to go down the list and transcribe the features you want to save.

It's officially posted somewhere (can't think of where at the moment) but as per SE, the only thing that will be transfered will be your character's name.

Why would there be a function to save character creation settings and more slots for that than we get character slots, though?
It -has- to serve some purpose.

It serves several purposes. For example, it saved me several steps of clicking when I wanted to move Rhio from Lindblum to Besaid.

This having been said, having peeked inside the game's directory structure, it does seem like the information is probably saved locally. There is likely a workaround if you want to save your character for the retail release. I'm just not anticipating it being a baseline supported feature.

Sounds logical to me :approve:
