I keep hearing stories from the Diamond Frogs on SA. Do you use VR? Also what control setup do you use?
I don't use VR, but I hear it's a fantastic experience with Elite.
I have a dual monitor setup. The in-game chat in Elite is pretty primitive, so it's useful to have a second screen for Discord (there's a big Discord server for explorers), browsing, maps, etc.
For controls, I use a Saitek X-52 pro, which provides a ton of buttons. It's pretty pricey, but there are cheaper control setups that are still well regarded in the Elite community (Thrustmaster HOTAS X, T-16000, etc).

Given BDO being blargh right now and FF14 in that between patch lull phase, I have been dabbling in WoW more often these days with both RP and content. Not leaving FF14 or anything, but given I've been playing it and BDO off and on for over half a year without much pause? The break has been awesome @_@
