I've put it under miqo'te but it doesn't look like a strictly or mostly IC blog? I may end up moving it to the OOC section if that's the case.

It's a new blog, made for mostly character journals and IC ramblings of all ffxiv rp characters, even though for now I'm only talking with my Roe. Still working on a way to write with my elf, given that she's illiterate lol

There will be the occasional ooc post, but it will be primarily in-character.

I don't know why, for the 100th time, I've tried to pick up tumblr when it does nothing but find new and interesting ways to frustrate me every time I make the attempt. But..

I need help. (Surprise, surprise.)

I've added a Quote post, as you can see. But holy light colored text on light colored background, Batman! I've Google searched every single unhelpful resource on the Internet and found nothing. Hoped I might find something here, but didn't find anything specific to what I was looking for.

There's no options on the Edit Theme side of things to change colors for this. This is literally all I have for color options here:

I thought maybe "Title color" was what affected the Quote posts' color since the colors are so similar. But after messing with it, I was wrong. And for the life of me, I can't find anything anywhere that even remotely affects the Quotes.

 All right lovely. Here's what you're going to want to do:


> Customize (to edit your theme)
> Up at the top click, " Edit HTML." 
> Ctrl-F (Your "Find Text" tool). This should open a small "text" box over the code. 
> Search for: "ede2d1" or "eae0d1" it should be one of those colors, likely the former. Change it to something like, "332826" (that's the dark brown). 


Alternatively, you can try looking for, "fff," or, "ffffff" but there might be more of it making narrowing it down a little harder (that would change the white background). If that doesn't work let me know and I'll try to give you something else to do. <3

Even though I read the first part, and I am sorry but you'll need to help me out here. I am a bit confused on how to make categories like I do for Wordpress.

(Wordpress user here so I am still new to all of these.)

Though I feel like Tumblr isn't really used for long type of words like blogger/wordpress does.

Admittedly, I'm uncertain what "categories" are like. I've not ever used wordpress. Maybe someone else might be able to help? I know you can make pages with tumblr, which might have the same effect? You can see pages on my blog:

My navigation page has several links where you can look for something specific (like fashion, inspirational images, etc).

Ahhhh, I see what you're angling for, and I feel kind of dumb that I didn't think to do so myself! Sadly though, no dice. :c Neither of those hex codes are in the HTML, and I tried every #fff and #444 with the hex code suggested code, and the Quote never changed.

I'm absolutely terrible with HTML. No matter how I look at it, it's all just a bunch of gibberish to me. xD But here's the HTML for my blog. Maybe something will jump out to you, O' Great Tumblr Sensei.

Edit: Left the HTML up just in case you were curious about it personally, but.. I ended up just going to a similar but different theme, haha.

Ahhhh, I see what you're angling for, and I feel kind of dumb that I didn't think to do so myself! Sadly though, no dice. :c Neither of those hex codes are in the HTML, and I tried every #fff and #444 with the hex code suggested code, and the Quote never changed.

I'm absolutely terrible with HTML. No matter how I look at it, it's all just a bunch of gibberish to me. xD But here's the HTML for my blog. Maybe something will jump out to you, O' Great Tumblr Sensei.

Edit:  Left the HTML up just in case you were curious about it personally, but.. I ended up just going to a similar but different theme, haha.

I don't want to be a bother, but could mine please get moved to in character- multiple? It's meant to be mostly in character after all (for all my RP alts) , with only occasional ooc posts. I mean, if any ooc whatsoever disqualifies me, then okay, it's just that IC is the main focus. I do know the blog is pathetic so far, but I just haven't had many interactions since I'm trying to get to chocobo level.
