Zodiac SpoilersIt's the quest line for the Zodiac weapon. You'll have been working on improving and improving the weapon in question, from following in the efforts of the Zodiac Braves to infusing it with materia to heighten its power to capturing soul essence in the item to fortify it.

Do you remember when you completed your initial relic weapon? Gerolt mentions needing a new weapon with two materia to act as the base for the restored relic. Well, the Zodiac weapon follows the same idea; You cannot improve upon the Nexus weapon at all, so the story sends you on the path of making a NEW vessel, which you then use your Nexus weapon as a catalyst for. The final stage is converting your weapon to a super-powerful materia to join with the new host, culminating in the new weapon.

Â I like it... (Hang on. Is it possible for one to buy the relic weapon from the calamity salvager and grind all the way back up to Nexus again?)

Yes, you can repurchase your bow and re-grind it to Atma and beyond if you wanted to.

No, the text is just flavor text. It's a 100% conversion rate, they just wanted to scare everyone.

If it makes you feel any better, the emote doesn't actually make the character models hug. You have to position and time it juuust right to get it to look like that sample screenie, sadly. =c

I can deal with having to position myself. What I can't deal with is that the end product of my efforts WILL look better than the hug emote, WILL express emotions better, WILL make better screenie material, but WON'T be available to those who want to avoid being that one guy who does marriage solely for the goodies and not the rp, aka people like myself.

It just...It sucks. It's petty, yes, but it still sucks.
