Necrologos Tritogenis: An unfinished treatise on Umbralogy and Voidsent (RP Hook) - Zeraia - 01-03-2015

This unassuming, leather-bound tome was sent out in the night to dozens, up to hundreds of bookstores and scholars in Eorzea. It does not look ominous or threatening, though it is quite thick, but upon opening, the reader would be treated, in bold text, to a title on the first page.

NECROLOGOS TRITOGENIS
An unfinished treatise on Umbralogy and Voidsent summoning
by Zerayya al Rahal

Everything is in blocky, printed font, in black ink, and the book details the anatomy and biology of various types of voidsent, from a very precise and comprehensive look at the Ahriman and Bomb to a more sketchy, unfinished look at the voidsent form of the Dullahan (Not to be confused with the soulkin Dullahan) among other things. In particular, it looks at the common psychology and behaviours of the voidsent and the manner of method (including the summoning diagrams) in which to summon and control them through willpower and arcanima, giving parallels to summoning a carbuncle. It also details the sacrifices necessary to summon various forms of voidsent, most of which require a living, and sometimes spoken, sacrifice.

The foreword is writ as such:

If this book is already in circulation, it means that I, Zerayya al Rahal, have already died. This book is the product of sixteen years of blood, sweat, and tears. Many people out there would want to destroy this book despite the wealth of knowledge it represents. Do not let them. Knowledge should not be held back. It should not be reined in, tamed and be made harmless. My fellow scholars, this is the sort of 'Forbidden Knowledge' that history has sought to deny us.

My only regret was that I had not finished my book before someone found me.

Zerayya al Rahal.

(OOC: This is the legacy of my previous character, Zeraia Reynard. She would have sent this book out to many people, anyone who might have been interested and sympathetic, and she would also have sent it out to bookstores, mixed in amongst the other books. You could use this book in your RP ingame as a starting point if you want! Message me if you require any details.)
