FFXIV + Fearing Comcast - Ashe - 01-21-2015

Not sure if this is the right place to post but I am moving to California in a few days and have Comcast as my new internet provider.  My plan looks something like:
Max Download: Up to 25.0 Mbps and Max Upload: Up to 10.Mbps...or maybe 5?

In any case. I am wondering if this is enough.  Any suggestions on how I can still use comcast (because my new building makes me) and still be able to play on my PS4?

I would think that'd be fine. Smile Comcast is my provider (via Business Class) and I have 22 down, 10 up provisioned; it's closer to 30x12 most of the time, though, and I don't have any issues.

As terrible as Comcast typically is, they seem to be semi-competent at network management when the service is up, which means the big killers for MMO play (latency and packet loss) aren't an issue.

Thank you for the encouragement.
I would be so sad if I couldn't play with everyone anymore >.<

I just want to add that I had Comcast as a provider for years and my experience with them was positive throughout.  There will always be problems with service interruptions (the last stretch of your internet connection is literally running through your neighborhood suspended 15' above the ground by dead trees), but their service was about as prompt as you could expect, their customer service was helpful, and when I had real issues they always came through with an account credit.

I know other people have had really bad experiences with Comcast, and they're the butt of a lot of jokes, but I just wanted to point out that isn't everyone's experience Smile

I'm sure that connection is fast enough for gaming, you should be just fine!
