Graeham would be the moral compass of the group as well as the guy taking the time to make sure that everybody was holding up well - especially in the aftermath of traumatic events. He'd also strive to come to some sort of peaceful resolution to various conflicts instead of resorting to bloodshed at every turn.
Depending on the group's actions he'd potentially even defect and turn against them, especially if they ended up getting innocent Garlean civilians/non-combatants killed during a skirmish against Garlean forces.
Alternatively he'd be the idealistic figure pushing for peace between two warring nations only to be assassinated by one side during peace talks in an attempt to prolong conflict. Further examination would reveal that the so called 'good side' was responsible. The story would involve a lot of intrigue, betrayal and deception. Much like FFXII!
