Lorielle stops running, hearing the cries of the toad and feeling water splash down against her side. Â She turned quickly, flinging droplets from her hair as she watched the Toxic Toad squirm on the ground. Â It was gouged by several weapons, and certainly would be unable to make chase any longer. Â She breathed heavily, her chest heaving without making a sound.
Water dripped down her nose, her entire left side drenched. Â She was certain the toad was finished, but slowly backed away all the same. Â
"Well I was certain the others would have stepped in," Lorielle said in response to Tobias, her tone only mildly snappy. Â So they did. Â Her only thought was to carry the toad away from the others, which would have been successful had the injured one not followed her with it. Â She began to relax despite her desire to stay on her toes.
She glanced to Tobias, then down to his wound. Â It was bleeding yet again. Â She turned to face him, staff in hand, before giving a final glance over the toad. Â Hopefully it was dead, so that Lorielle could take Tobias back to the caravan and heal his wound properly. Â Maybe then she and the others could see to finding their scattered chocobos. Â She knew there had to be a catch for making it to the caravan right before it left. Â This must have been it.
