The harm in calling someone out for being 'homophobic' is that it might not even be true. If I claimed that someone was yelling abuse at me in the Quicksand it might be true but it might not be true - and the latter is precisely why rules against naming and shaming exist.Â
Again - it might be true but I've been part of this community long enough to be very skeptical of anything along the lines of 'he said, she said' because quite a few people team up to make up all sorts of rumours about people they clash with in an attempt to get back at them. Thus I prefer to adopt the role of the devil's advocate.
