  3. The Project Ballad Event Quest System is a free to use event creation system that is designed to promote and create free authentic roleplay in the open world of Final Fantasy XIV. The idea behind the Event Quest System is to allow any player in a guild or outside a guild a chance to roleplay without diverting the players character. Operating in a similar way to the FF XIV Leve-quest System , The Event Quest System once live will be able fully integrated into Project Ballad and stored into Project Ballad Event Archive. For more information on Project Ballad will follow over the course of the next few days. Class/Grade Rating & Genre During the an event creation process all events will receive 2 rating tags known as class rating and grade rating. These ratings are designed to respect each Roleplayer play style and individuality, Class Rating - <CR> is a universal rating which is attached to all quests that are created via an Event Creator. The <CR> is designed to determine the difficulty that the character may encounter during a quest. However just because the quest difficulty is higher does not mean that enemies will be, the quest could be more difficult in another sense for example communicating with a problematic NPC or arriving at a blocked path in which the character may have to solve a puzzle. Class Ratings as shown below: S*Class - Epic Quests are labeled with the S* Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete with a group of four or more. These quests entail a very hard challenge or two which will need to be completed to meet your quest objective. S Class - Ultra Rare Quests are labeled with the S Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete with a group of three. These quests entail a hard challenge or two which will need to be completed to meet your quest objective. A Class - Rare Quests are labeled with the A Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete with a group two. These quests entail a moderate challenge or two which may need to be completed to meet your quest objective. B Class - Common Quests labeled with the B Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete solo. These quests normally entail a small challenge or two which may need to complete to meet your quest objective. C Class - Uncommon Quests are labeled with the C Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete solo. These quests normally entail slice of life roleplay. Grade Rating - <GR> is a universal rating which is attached to all quests that are created via an Event Creator. The <GR> is designed to determine the Roleplay Intensity the player may experience throughout the Event Quest. Event Creators create events in the hopes they can give the Quest Taker a chance to find excitement, enjoyment and generally fun, while allowing the Roleplayer to be able to stay in they comfort zone. Grade Ratings as shown below: IV - Grade IV otherwise known as Hardcore Rating are designed for players who prefer experiencing Hardcore Roleplay. This Roleplay is tailored for players who Roleplay as they only focus. III - Grade III otherwise known as Heavy Rating are designed for players who prefer experiencing Heavy Roleplay. This Roleplay is tailored for players who don’t Roleplay as a primary focus. *Grade IV will only be assigned upon request. Quests with a Grade IV tag can cause permanent outcome’s to one or more characters which could even resulting in death. Before requesting Grade IV on your Event Quest, please think whether this <GR> is required and if multiple characters are involved, discuss this matter with them. Event Genre - <EG> is a universal rating which is attached to all quests that are created via an Event Creator. The <EG> is designed to determine the genre the player will experience throughout the Event Quest. Event Creators understand that the Quest Taker may not enjoy being subjected to one or more Roleplay Genre, using the <EG> to navigate Roleplay Genre will allow the Quest Taker to Roleplay the theme in which they are looking for. Event Genres List as shown below: Academic’s - (The Academic’s Tag ranges anything that could be considered Education based roleplayed) Adventure - (The Adventure Tag ranges anything that could be considered Adventure based roleplayed) City State - (The City State Tag ranges anything that could be considered City Life based roleplayed) Corporation - (The Corporation Tag ranges anything that could be considered Organization based roleplayed) Entertainment - (The Entertainment Tag ranges anything that could be considered Performance based roleplayed) Event Planners - (The Event Planners Tag ranges anything that could be considered Event Creation based roleplayed) Exploration - (The Exploration Tag ranges anything that could be considered Exploration based roleplayed) For Hire - (The For Hire Tag ranges anything that could be considered Mercenary based roleplayed) Horror - (The Horror Hire Tag ranges anything that could be considered Dark Themed based roleplayed) Medical - (The Medical Tag ranges anything that could be considered Medical based roleplayed) Merchant - (The Merchant Tag ranges anything that could be considered Trade & Barter based roleplayed) Monster Hunters - (The Monster Hunters Tag ranges anything that could be considered Hunting based roleplayed) R&D - (The R&D Tag ranges anything that could be considered Science & Engineering based roleplayed) Mature - (The Mature Tag ranges anything that could be considered adult material, this includes, Seduction, Romantic or Erotic) Sanctuary - (The Sanctuary Tag ranges anything that could be considered Religious based roleplayed) Sky/Sea Pirates - (The Sky/ Sea Pirates Tag ranges anything that could be considered Piracy based roleplayed) Underworld - (The Underworld Tag ranges anything that could be considered Crime based roleplayed) *The Mature Genre will only be assigned upon request. At any time it is the Event Creator right to refuse to create the requested Event Quest. Project Ballad is not a Erotic Roleplay Service and we will not take responsibility for the Player Decisions. If a Player is found to be under the legal requirement for the Mature Tag, a temporary ban will be issued preventing them from accepting or requesting any Event Quest that an Event Creator may create. Nexus Event Nexus Event: is a concatenation of events that is created by the effect’s of other Event Quests or the Final Fantasy XIV Story Content. What this means is, if a area region develops a situation that would change one or more things within the zone, all Ballad Network Event Quests will then go on to reflect these changes. What makes the Nexus Event system so unique is its ability to track changes cross-server and then consolidate these changes into one global tracker. What this means is if a area region develops a situation that would change one or more things within the zone, on one Final Fantasy XIV Roleplay World’s, all Roleplay World’s will go on to reflect these changes. However due to the complicity of the Nexus Events, only Grade II | Grade III | Grade IV Event Quests will impact the Nexus Events. *All Nexus Event Updates can be found on the Ballad Network Server under Nexus_Tracker. If you wish to have your event to affect the Final Fantasy Roleplay World then please contact a Ballad Official or Nexus Moderator.

  6. The Tempus Ballad is a lore centric heavy roleplay storytelling guild. The free company is age restricted to 16+ due to the authenticity of some of the story lines the guild may create. If one or more of the free company stories may contain mature or graphic content a tag to the event will be implanted for example [mature]. Our aim is to create an authentic roleplaying experience for all who interacts with the community whether the person is a member of the Ballad Community or a member of the Omega Roleplaying Community.
  7. The way I see it. Red Mages are neither Black or White Mages. Conjury and Thaumaturgy belong to the White and Black School, the more powerful and more costly the skill in most cases these are referred to forbidden magic. Black Mages & White Mages are not illegal however it's the magic they cast which is the issue. However because you pair the mages up with the spells, it is easier to say Black Mages are outlawed rather then these spells belonging to the Black Mage schools are. To me Red Mages uses a mixture of Conjury & Thaumaturgy which is why it is considered allowed at this point in time giving the lack off evidence to say the craft is too dangerous. However because Conjury falls into the White Magic School and Thaumaturgy in the Black Magic School it is easier and correct in saying Red Mages uses Black and White magic. Now the issue with Verholy and Verflare. Do we really have a idea how far up the Magic School food chain these are? We know that White Mages and Black Mages are able to use them but we have no knowledge of lesser mages studying the job school is able to. For example I would guess that the Lala's in the Thumaturge guild will be able to use Flare, yeah it would be costly to them but no doubt it would be possible. However what makes Red Mages here different is how they cast, storing Aetheric Energy which they are able to use as a crutch. Pretty much a shortcut or work around if you will.
  8. If you play Revolutions with the launch trailer you can see extra snips off the launch trailer scene. For example Yugiri is present in the same scene with Y'shtola, this is not shown in the launch trailer but it is shown in Revolutions. I don't think SE would make two scenes off the same scene at two separate times.
  9. Well we know Sharlayan use to open it's doors and teach around the world, let alone many flocked to it's gates. Likely what happens going into the next expansion is Red Mage hails from Ali Migho however the craft was learnt from Sharlayan similar to Astro. Vok~
  10. 1.) Would this ability be even plausible? Transforming via magic is already a huge part off the game lore whether this is transforming though faith/crystals or being cursed by toad, mini and morph, this shows that it is physically possible to transform on some scale. They is something I would point out, are blue mage's. If my memory remembers right. Blue Magic is a collection off magic that is enquired by drawing on the traits off an enemy. We do not know if FF XIV will operate in the same manner when it comes to Blue Mages however, looking back at the prior games in the series the skills were obtained though items, eating, being used on you and even studied upon combat. Granted still this wouldn't allow you to transform however it would allow you to use your attacks so to speak with an Aetherial Form most likely. If you played in Hevensward Content the best examples is the move for Dragoon in which causes a Aether Dragoon around the Dragoon. They is a druid class that exists in the series lore however to my knowledge they lacked the ability to transform and if I recall are basically an Geomancer, however don't quote me on that. 2.) There needs to be a high risk/drawback to this. It's a powerful transformation and there for needs a powerful drawback to invoking it. I played with the idea that it would be like a drug when he shifted, but the more he used it, the longer it took him to phase back into his regular miqo'te form. Eventually leading up to where he would stay a tiger forever. All magic's come with some cost, you could say that using the spells take an emotional toll that will cause your miqo'te to mimic the personality traits off the animal he is using. For an example Tiger's are feral and will have a feral nature, a bear will have a defence aggressive nature. Granted this is not transforming. Copying the lore used in WoW which seems to be the standardised rule off transforming which is normally used in movies and games. If you stay transformed for too long then slowly you will forget you are human and become animal, you will also begin to take on the same characteristic traits off that animal while you are in a state of transformation. 3.) The father story is changabe. What are your thoughts on such? If you go off the risk/drawbacks I said in 2) then using this type of magic would take a mental toll on your body which could of pushed the father over the edge. However if you went the Blue Magic route, it would not be an bloodline trait more so a legacy teaching, meaning the art was taught and passed down though the clan history, it is possible however to have the magic teaching passed down to heir to heir. Again these answers are based off the series off Final Fantasy as a whole. For whether or not this is possible would decide on SE when and if they bring out Blue Mages or even a Druid Class. But yes transformation is possible and in the lore however if you will have control off the transformation and being able to revert to your Miqo'te that is another matter.

  12. *Throw sawdust over a rug* "You need to clean that up. How can you do that without cleaning device... Just as it happens I have one for sale"
  13. Headmaster Doctor Stien Skjold is a retired travelling Doctor who is known to travel from time to time. It would be possible for the two to meet even share among a tale or two. I am a EU player and I don't mind RPing with all walks of life. To be honest it is one of the perks to RPing a doctor, I can encounter many different styles of Roleplay. Vok~
  14. As a fellow EU Roleplayer, welcome back to the game and welcome to the form. I know what it likes drifting from MMO's to MMO's for Roleplay, it is one off the reasons I actually enjoy it. I find changing games one in awhile brings some of the best experiences. Sadly learning each games lore can be rather draining at times. Before I forget, do you have any questions in regards to the lore or anything in general? If your ever looking for Roleplay Doctor Stien Skjold is normally few and about during EU times. Welcome once again. Vok~

  16. I goggled Overlord and watched the opening, it does have potential if they follow the 9 existing novels. I don't think it will be more popular than Sword Art Online for VRMMO Anime but Log Horizon, I could see it happening. I don't mind fleshing out storyline let alone DM'ing personal event's. I am normally logged in during the evening, which if you would like; we can talk about this 'In Game' or on Skype. My name on here is Skype Name also. Vok~
  17. This reminds me off an anime called Log Horizon. A group off players created a group called the Tea Party, a group built up off experience pug's who tackled content for fun. About Ryn: Ryn Orwell is what we call "odd". The last thing he tell's people he recalls is waking up in Coerthas after being engulf in a white light. What make's Ryn odd is his inability to use the Cites Crystal's and possess the world cultural knowledge. Ryn is tinker who often is seen playing around with strange devices and what nots. He possess the ability to hunt and scavenge which ties around his clouded past. About Me: I am a EU player from the UK GMT +1. I have no current preference on RP Type's/Themes as long as I can see Ryn being apart off it, without having to bend him. I personally prefer to do open world RP over Tavern's as I feel you can gain a higher character growth though these.
  18. I would be interested in helping out if you need help with this? I would love to see more EU Players interacting with each other. Vok~
