  1. Graff, Apologize for the long period of time for reply. Gotta work to pay for that weekly subscription (and bills. Lots and lots of bills.) Discord (and most software lately) can be finnicky beasts when hit with certain hardware limitations and specs, so I can respect the issues you have with it (and I also only came into the PC world myself, but I hate watching my PS4 get neglected). In terms of the stone situation, it will be entirely up to the RP group on how they handle their respective situations. They can decide to go sync or unsynched, both of which have their benefits and drawbacks in terms of group set up. Also, recognizing that the stones are out there does not imply we have to say "Yes we have X stone or Y stone", especially since we never even saw them till our respective level 30 job upgrades came to life. I personally can see players being able to pull through dungeons, with a certain amount of creativity at play, while still holding character immersion solidly enough. After all, Conjurer doesn't require a stone to heal, and maybe your character has decided to give the stars and cards a try..?
  2. Knight, Saw your message this morning! Check your Discord at your earliest convenience! Graff, Admittedly I did not consider the prospect of cross world options when I was thinking about the concept - since SE has given us the opportunity to do such a thing, with other technologies such as Discord I cannot foreee a reason why you couldn't still be in contact through said services. I'll send you an invite to the Discord server, and hopefully as time goes on you can still get as much from the experience as you please!
  3. Hello fellow adventurers/thrill seekers/slightly alarming extremists of heroism! Something that I had noticed in my time on Balmung, while surrounded by the opportunities of role play available in the Quicksand at Ul'dah, the tournament style of the Grindstone, and other smaller pockets within the wards of residences...never have I seen us take a hold of the dungeons in our realm and use it to our advantage to tell more stories, while reaping the benefits of experience and loot from the caverns and halls of battle. This is why a decision was made, so that for those seeking to try and seize every bit of the game for what we can and more, now comes the introduction of the :chocobo: IC Dungeon Divers Linkshell:chocobo: The LS is meant as a place outside of the normal places expected to find RP; to be able to run with people IN CHARACTER through dungeons that you and your chosen assembled group decide on! Everything in channel is still OOC, and is meant to be run by the people as a whole, not one king to rule them all. Everyone has the opportunity to bring in new people that wish to share and create the enthusiasm and liveliness that we experience when we create our stories to share with others. Only rule is - Don't be a jerk. Past that, hopefully many people who wouldn't interact before, now have the chance to do so while being able to reap the benefits of the game's dungeons. Gil, equipment, EXPERIENCE (if the group chooses to sync the dungeon)... all accessible while still feeling like your character as you mow down your enemy and go to seek what you came for.:tonberry: You can find Algus Marquis in Party Finder for the next several evenings, to simply send a tell and an invite will be sent - you may also send shouts through the cities and find us that way as well. We welcome old and new to what we believe may be new role play opportunities, and a stronger community. Additional edit: As a quick update, we have now included a Discord, along with the forum! Please send either a tell in game, or a DM on Discord to Beau#5074, and someone will attempt to get you in both the LS and Discord when possible!
  4. My apologies didn't see the reply until now! I'll check for those names and follow up. Thank you!
  5. If spots are available at this time, I would like to inquire for one. Haven't seen anyone of the people listed at the beginning of the thread on, so unsure of how to join from here.
  6. Good choice of quote, considering I named my feather beaked yellow friend Gafgarion.:chocobo:
  7. I figure now that I've had the opportunity to rp with a few people at random in Ul'dah, and even got to further one development with someone at the Grindstone last night, I figure now is a good time as any to just jump in the deep end and start getting involved in the party. My character is named Algus Marquis - actually got it as a combination as I absolutely loved the original Final Fantasy Tactics. Using the template as supplied by Sorcini, just a few details about myself: Common things your fellow RPers may be interested in knowing about you if you choose to share. MMORPG background - Relatively experienced with MMOs. My first gateway into it was Final Fantasy XI, which eventually led me to World of Warcraft, Aeon, Star Wars The Old Republic, EVE Online, and FFXIV after 2.0 RP experience - very little in my personal opinion. While the concept I understand, I still know there is so much for me to learn and master. But practice makes perfect, and hopefully while practicing I can enhance the experience for everyone one involved Character ideas/info - the character I have is a tinkerer by trade; he takes on every possible trade job he can because he enjoys working with his hands, and to be able to visually see his work. He will rarely ever take the initiative in any social situation, unless it absolutely calls for it and there's clearly no other choice except failure. How did you learn about the coalition? - Googling. Hey, search engines are there for a reason. What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? (e.g. Light, medium, or heavy) - I would imagine medium, as while I see my character as being an individual entity, at the end of the day I don't want to be cut off from other aspects in the game just because it doesn't "fit the profile". Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? (Work, school, hobbies, etc.) - I work 40+ hours a week in retail, while still in school at a university for an accounting degree. Not many hobbies since gaming is my immediate go to for the real life escape. .....so I guess past that, going to see where the road takes me from here. I hope I have the opportunity to contribute in a positive manner towards the stories you continue to write (and haven't had a chance to write yet).
