  1. While it is all good and dandy for an alternative; I'd rather stay on Balmung; sure the queues are terrible, but it is quite suspect for them to just be so insanely high all of a sudden; and I mean more than even what Heavensward. I don't know, for some weird reason I feel it may be a ploy by SE; even with them calling out the server. *shrugs* Hope you have an amazing time though on Mateus!
  2. Update to my current status. WoW: Moonguard Alliance / WrA Horde FFXIV: Balmung
  3. I love both naming conventions for the Roes, so much I have two of them. But as far as such, I think there is a link that has the naming conventions. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/61152-Roegadyn-Naming-Conventions Hope this helps.
  4. . . . If you would actually read my entire statement instead of just focusing on the start of it, you'd find that I said it is more along the lines of a mature alternate fantasy. It does have portions of dark fantasy, as well as mature fantasy in it. As an overall theme it isn't dark fantasy; but that is a tangent for another day, this is about the whole "Dark" vs "Mature" tags people have put into their party search bar.
  5. Yssen described it perfectly, honestly. *claps* And I love me some Berserk. Such a delightful screwed up world. <3 But, yea, dark and mature role-play, oddly enough tend to go hand in hand. As far as forms of RP, I think over the years like anything, the generalization has come to be a moniker for terribleness, but Yssen spoke the normal roots for these sort of things. FF14 is close to dark fantasy; not fully overlapped yet in many areas, but enough to at least draw that sort of attention. I would definitely call it a mature alternate fantasy setting though, as it does have racism, class discrimination, implied rape, murder out the wazoo (genocide much?) and other things. As for me, I'm fine with any sort of role-play that fits within the subject material.
  6. I like walk-up role-play and tend to tailor my typing methodology to those around. I'm fine with verbose to paraphrase; short to long. But, as others have said, not everyone is willing or wanting walk-up. As well, patience is key and as was spoken previously, it is always best to think if no one responds fully, just assume them as AFK. Also, with those saying that they're not ignoring you; perhaps they're not in an area to be able to notice your character just yet; so there is also that. And group RP is hard to do, the more the channels flood, the harder it is to keep up.
  7. Or one hell of a way for abortions. . . this is all. . *shudders*
  8. I wonder if we'll see new hairstyles again. Or will that be in patch 3.2(whatever) or 3.3?
  9. It is either that or they clearly care primarily for their JP customer base only. Or, as said earlier, possibly said team doesn't speak English well on the GM department.
  10. From what I've seen, Blade and Soul is more fighting game, Black Desert Online is more Dark Souls Action game. I like both styles, just, I do not like traditional fantasy or gender locked classes. Which I know BDO rectifies. . way down the road.
  11. I just don't like PvP forced into my RP; that is my main concern.
  12. I'll have to wait a bit; as it is only in CBT1, I don't want to drop 100 dollars on a 'maybe'. haha. I'm glad both games have upgrade features.
  13. Does Black Desert Online have nProtect or anything like that?
  14. You can use a controller in Blade and Soul. not sure about Black Desert
  15. Update: So far, so fun; only negative to it? It uses nProtect GameGuard, positive? It is a newer non-crash your PC version or eat up your resources version.
