People definitely do notice and show up because of it, I use it as one of the few sources of advertisement for Bar Saisei's weekly events due to the limited seating and manpower running the event. Party finder definitely won't bring in massive crowds, but if that's not what you're looking for then I'd say it works quite well, all things considered.

Ok, maybe not as drunk as she claims, or drunk at all even. Hello everyone, I've finally decided to stop lurking and post one of these threads in order to get more RP for my toon. While I'm apparently a huge fan of AFKing in the quicksand while playing other games, I figured that I'd like some more RP in my life and finally resolved to -try- to take some steps towards remedying the occasional lack of it. Anyways, enough about myself and onto the character! Aimee Mayuzuma is a woman defined very much by her current profession as a bartender, and possibly may be the owner of one of the few drinking establishments in Eorzea that doesn't serve as a front for a black market, mercenary group, criminal organization or any sort of other morally ambiguous and shady conglomerate. Surprising and unexpected, but she has her reasons to live on the straight and narrow for herself, and this does not preclude ties with individuals with more dubious connections. Friendly, articulate, empathetic, and slightly unhinged would be common terms used to describe the Elezen, but it doesn't seem to affect her; in fact it seems that sometimes she purposely chooses to behave in such a manner just to keep an interaction lively. She is an older individual compared to others, but only midaged in terms of Elezen years... there have been whisperings about her past but those seem to be well buried in her proverbial closet, at least for now. Perhaps this has to do with her occasionally moonlighting as a guest lecturer in the alchemist's and goldsmith's guild? Probably not, it just seems like normal business there. As for possible plot hooks for those wishing to interact with her. -Wanderers- The easygoing wanderer is extremely itinerant, her lack of needing sleep allowing her to fill the hours she isn't working with plenty of wanderings, whether it be in the city streets of any city state, the libraries and archives within, or being extremely overdressed in the wild, ranging from the Sands of Thanalan to the Peaks of Coerthas. She's quite likely to randomly bump into others in this scenario, seeing as she has a good reason (no reason at all aside from sheer whimsy) to be anywhere she wishes. -Barflies- Owning her own doesn't mean she dislikes to drink at other places. On the contrary, she enjoys frequenting other establishments to gain perspective on her own services, and also to recommend others to if they find themselves not quite satisfied with her own. Her bar is always open for guests during operating hours, and extra -Foragers/Gardeners- She has a habit of occasionally going into the wilds to gather some wild herbs for either decorative purposes or as exotic garnishes, so don't be too surprised to see her on her daily restocking trips. -Marketeers/Merchants- Glassware, artwork, ice makers, suppliers, she has a healthy web of associates to assist her in keeping her place afloat, and would not mind introducing them to another as a favor. -Anything else- A bit of creativity can easily applied to make a scene not listed above, that's the fun of RP! Thanks to all those who showed up, the opening night of the Bar was quite a success with more than 15 patrons showing visiting in during the open hours. With this, the Bar is officially open to public, and all are welcome to visit at any time, not just on publicly advertised open nights.

Bar Saisei is a newly established cocktail lounge, sponsored by the individuals of Katachi FC, and the personal funds of Aimee Mayuzuma. Envisioned by its owners as a location where anyone can shelter away from the everyday problems of life, it provides a warm and cozy lounge to relax in, along with a fully decked out smoking lounge for those so inclined. For those less inclined to partake in alcoholic libations, the establishment keeps a large selection of teas and juices as well, prepared fresh as to keep in line with philosophy of welcoming patrons from any and all walks of life. Now Open Weekly (Guaranteed to be staffed) on Fridays at 6-9 PST Staffed by NPCs at all other times, or whisper Aimee Mayuzuma for a scene. Website and small sample Menu Rules: 1. Hey everyone, I'm a returning FF14 player recently transferred to Balmung, having played from 2.0 all the way until 3.1 until my raid group disbanded at A4S due to scheduling issues and general disinterest. Since then, I played some Blade and Soul when it released, but mostly returned to tryharding in shooters until I realized that I still needed a game to scratch that MMO itch. I've made a clean break from WoW and do not plan on ever returning, as I simply dislike the direction the mechanics of the game have taken since the Mists of Pandaria expansion. This leaves FF14 as the only other option for a traditional MMO that isn't dead, so I decided to come back a bit sooner than my friends. Since none of the new content particularly interests me, I've decided to try my hand at some RP instead. --RP experience MostlyDnD 20 with friends, not much experience of Rping on an actual mmo. --Character ideas/info I never have really been an altoholic on ff14, as having all the classes available to a character makes having an alt seem like a lot of extra work for no particular reward (pk I admit, the cheaper sub option is a bonus too). For this reason, I suppose I sort of grew attached to my current character, as spending 3 years on the same character with no use of fantasia implies. Using this character as my template, I wrote her background with 3 goals in mind: Easily adapted into most plotlines Somewhat reflects my personal in game class preferences (Mch, Nin, Mnk, Drk, Ast) Adheres to the lore, taking some creative liberty in areas that aren't clearly defined. I'll work on a wiki page on my character this weekend, formatting is gonna be a pain. --How did you learn about the coalition? My Google-fu is strong. --What kind of a role-player are you aiming to be? Light, medium, or heavy? Personally,I would consider myself a light to medium Rper, but I suppose my Character sheet accidentally ending up being about 6 pages long would say otherwise. I'm open to most plots and storylines, and can probably adapt/retcon my character background to fit it, so don't hesitate to ask if you feel like adding something to my character. As for the whole IC/OOC schtick, I don't really care about how often you go OOC as long as it's denoted. I personally default to being OOC in game, but can switch into IC with a quick whisper. --Anything from real life you're comfortable with sharing? Uh, I guess I'm just another run of the mill college graduate trying to make it in the world. I'm probably able to be found AFK in game most of the time, otherwise I'm available on discord (ask for it in PMs) most of the time.
