Has it always been there? At the end of this crooked path, lays a curiosity of a manor, as though Ishgardian sensibility has been carved from Thanalan sandstone. It certainly isn’t the sort of place one finds unless they know what to look for. Greenery abounds, taking cues from the natural oasis it is lofted above; a shady, quiet respite from the desert heat. There’s something decidedly nondescript but cozy about this place, something that feels like home to those in need of healing and safehaven.[/align] --- [align=justify] The ‘Ashen Clinic’ may not be most cheerful moniker for a place to receive care, but for those that work and live there, it’s somber name has come to symbolize hope, opportunity, and a quite literal ‘rising from the ashes’ into the organization it is today.[/align] It’s overseeing free company, the Ashen Enclave, was formally founded just over a cycle ago, after the current Advocate, Lady Milloux Allard, was bequeathed full ownership of the organization. We believe we are stronger for the hardships we have endured and overcome, both individually and collectively, and it has led us down a path to do better for others. It is not someone's past that matters or defines them, it is how they choose to shape their future, and that of those around them. [align=justify] [align=center]FC Theme / IC Info: [/align] It is easy to assume that a Free Company based around the tenants and aspirations of helping others is a strictly Lawful Good organization, but that couldn’t be further from the truth! While we ask that our members strive to do their best by and help others, we understand that the best characters are multifaceted and sometimes complicated creations with their own strengths, flaws, and at times contradictory goals-- and RP is at it’s most interesting when one is able to explore and express those things. Our ideal is to, simply put, have good intentions. Our members do their best, and “doing good for others” can take a whole lot of different forms. [align=center]Who we are (OOC):[/align] The Ashen Enclave <> is an established and close knit free company. We have existed together in FFXIV as a free company for nearly two years, but many of us have been friends through several games, many RP storylines, and well over half a decade (or longer) now in some cases. Please don't let this intimidate you! We have decided to open our doors to recruitment on a limited basis because we have found we are at our best as a group when we welcome in new friends that add to the colorful tapestry of our company and our RP! Some of our newest members have become some of our most invaluable -- their characters, perspectives and company helping us to thrive. We hope to add to that! While the backbone of our group RP centers around the Ashen Clinic and the activities therein, we offer a variety of ways for characters to connect with each other, pursue personal growth and development, and otherwise thrive. We are first and foremost an RP (Role-playing) Free Company. Many of our members engage in and enjoy casual PVE / PVP content, and while we do occasionally organize runs of places like Aquapolis/Canals, Roulettes, or the Alliance raids, old EXs, etc, this is not our focus. Members are usually happy to aid and assist others with various duties and content - but are not obligated to![/align] Link to comment

Milloux Posted December 19, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted December 19, 2017 While I am here~ There is no Open Clinic Night this week, instead~ ❄ Join us in bringing light to the darkest night of the year! ❄ It’s been an eventful year for the Ashen Enclave - one that began with loss and ends in blessings and bounty. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating it all, with one last hurrah before Heavensturn! We’ll be decorating the Enclave’s Starlight tree, and we encourage all friends, new and old, as well as patients & patrons to bring something to add to it’s branches. All while we play games, eat goodies… and maybe even attempt a few carols. ( As a small thank you to everyone that has made our first year of public events such an overwhelmingly positive experience, we’ll be giving away two mogstation minions! All guests (and staff!) in attendance will be entered to win! ) While our clinic won’t be officially open this week, we will be offering hot meals, warm clothing, and comforts to those in need in addition to our festivities. No one should spend the holidays alone, so we hope you’ll spend them with us. ❄ Link to comment
