[28 November 2017] Linkshell and Free Company Hall thread title conventions

Hello!

 

It's come to the staff's attention that there has been an influx of threads in the Linkshell Hall and Free Company Hall that are adding in server labels that affect the sorting of the Halls. We'd like to remind that (server name) is not needed at the beginning of a thread for the filters to work. The button filters are powered by options in the initial post!

 

In this end, we will be lightly enforcing a basic thread title convention in the form of "Group Name [server name]". The and [server name] fields will of course be optional, although heavily recommended for groups that do not have a dedicated filter button.

 

After the initial adjustment, users may see one or more notifications if their thread titles were adjusted. Rest assured that no content in your posts has been changed! While we'd like for users to take care of this on their own, the task will also be added to our Linkshell and Free Company Hall cleaning tasks, which take place every two months (usually).

 

If you have any questions about this policy, you can ask here in the thread, or ask the staff in a private manner using the Requests and Feedback forum where your thread and posts will be private to just you and the staff.

Thread titles have now been adjusted!

 

If there were already elements of a convention being used, they've been moved around a little. Additional sections in [Tags] have not been moved, unless they were in front of the title.

 

As a reminder, the "end of October" Linkshell Hall and Free Company Hall cleaning was skipped. We will be resuming cleaning at the end of December! If there are any groups that have since disbanded, renamed, reposted, or otherwise need archiving, please report the post and a staff member will get to it! If you are reporting a group as no longer active, but are not the original poster or a leader named in the original post, we may need proof before we can archive it!
