The Project Ballad Event Quest System is a free to use event creation system that is designed to promote and create free authentic roleplay in the open world of Final Fantasy XIV. The idea behind the Event Quest System is to allow any player in a guild or outside a guild a chance to roleplay without diverting the players character. Operating in a similar way to the FF XIV Leve-quest System , The Event Quest System once live will be able fully integrated into Project Ballad and stored into Project Ballad Event Archive.

For more information on Project Ballad will follow over the course of the next few days.

Class/Grade Rating & Genre

During the an event creation process all events will receive 2 rating tags known as class rating and grade rating. These ratings are designed to respect each Roleplayer play style and individuality,

Class Rating - <CR> is a universal rating which is attached to all quests that are created via an Event Creator. The <CR> is designed to determine the difficulty that the character may encounter during a quest. However just because the quest difficulty is higher does not mean that enemies will be, the quest could be more difficult in another sense for example communicating with a problematic NPC or arriving at a blocked path in which the character may have to solve a puzzle.

Class Ratings as shown below:

S*Class - Epic Quests are labeled with the S* Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete with a group of four or more. These quests entail a very hard challenge or two which will need to be completed to meet your quest objective.

S Class - Ultra Rare Quests are labeled with the S Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete with a group of three. These quests entail a hard challenge or two which will need to be completed to meet your quest objective.

A Class - Rare Quests are labeled with the A Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete with a group two. These quests entail a moderate challenge or two which may need to be completed to meet your quest objective.

B Class - Common Quests labeled with the B Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete solo. These quests normally entail a small challenge or two which may need to complete to meet your quest objective.

C Class - Uncommon Quests are labeled with the C Class Rating are quests designed to be able to complete solo. These quests normally entail slice of life roleplay.

Grade Rating - <GR> is a universal rating which is attached to all quests that are created via an Event Creator. The <GR> is designed to determine the Roleplay Intensity the player may experience throughout the Event Quest. Event Creators create events in the hopes they can give the Quest Taker a chance to find excitement, enjoyment and generally fun, while allowing the Roleplayer to be able to stay in they comfort zone.

Grade Ratings as shown below:

IV - Grade IV otherwise known as Hardcore Rating are designed for players who prefer experiencing Hardcore Roleplay. This Roleplay is tailored for players who Roleplay as they only focus.

III - Grade III otherwise known as Heavy Rating are designed for players who prefer experiencing Heavy Roleplay. This Roleplay is tailored for players who Roleplay as a primary focus.

*Grade IV will only be assigned upon request. Quests with a Grade IV tag can cause permanent outcome’s to one or more characters which could even resulting in death. Before requesting Grade IV on your Event Quest, please think whether this <GR> is required and if multiple characters are involved, discuss this matter with them.

Event Genre - <EG> is a universal rating which is attached to all quests that are created via an Event Creator. The <EG> is designed to determine the genre the player will experience throughout the Event Quest. Event Creators understand that the Quest Taker may not enjoy being subjected to one or more Roleplay Genre, using the <EG> to navigate Roleplay Genre will allow the Quest Taker to Roleplay the theme in which they are looking for.

If a Player is found to be under the legal requirement for the Mature Tag, a temporary ban will be issued preventing them from accepting or requesting any Event Quest that an Event Creator may create.

Nexus Event

Nexus Event: is a concatenation of events that is created by the effect’s of other Event Quests or the Final Fantasy XIV Story Content. What this means is, if a area region develops a situation that would change one or more things within the zone, all Ballad Network Event Quests will then go on to reflect these changes.

What makes the Nexus Event system so unique is its ability to track changes cross-server and then consolidate these changes into one global tracker. What this means is if a area region develops a situation that would change one or more things within the zone, on one Final Fantasy XIV Roleplay World’s, all Roleplay World’s will go on to reflect these changes. However due to the complicity of the Nexus Events, only Grade II | Grade III | Grade IV Event Quests will impact the Nexus Events.

*All Nexus Event Updates can be found on the Ballad Network Server under Nexus_Tracker. If you wish to have your event to affect the Final Fantasy Roleplay World then please contact a Ballad Official or Nexus Moderator.
