It is the sad state of our great nation that Her citizens must look over their shoulders in fear while walking alone. Knives of the destitute and the cruel threaten anyone with gil in their pockets, and new rumors swirling in the wake of a daylight attack have spread no small amount of dismay and panic through Ul'dah. While many of us expect to be accosted by a shiftless refugee, it is not common concern to worry about Voidsent prowling our streets.
The incident itself happened out of the blue. A patron of the Quicksand stepped outside for fresh air when a man dressed in a black robe suddenly rushed her from behind, armed with a sword. Fortunately a nearby Free Paladin and a pair of adventurers managed to step in and vanquish the fiend, but questions no doubt lingered. How are we to feel safe when the spawn of darkness walk freely through our streets? What will the Immortal Flames do to keep our citizens safe from harm?
