Am I able to just buy these things and hand them other to a friend so he can marry his wife, or are they untradeable?

And what I mean by that is, I know I can trade the first one out to him, but then can he trade it to his wife and I give him the second one so they could be bonded?

Or because I was the one that bought them, does it restrict the use to me and him?

Hope this makes sense.
If Madda recalls correctly, they can be traded, but you can only carry one type at a time.

Also, as a heads up, both partners need to have the same package to proceed. ( Meaning, one person can't have the free package while the other has the $10 one )

Don't quote Madda on this.
Yes they are tradeable, some even sell them in game for Gil.. platinum for up to 1mil I have seen recently.

You may only be able to have one at once but they could pass it along.
Is that allowed, selling them for gil?
oddly enough with the art for gill ban; there's been little to no mention of the items like this being not allowed for sale in game.....it might still be considered against tos for selling it; but people are still doing it, typically for the above price mentioned. .--. however; i've only seen it advertized in game so if you want to keep this site protected if it's against tos, best not to advertise here.

Oh yes of course! I don't know if even I'd ever do that but interesting to know. I seem to be richer irl than I am in the game, so good to know lol
SE is not fond of it being done, but they have explicitly said it is not against the ToS to sell wedding rings for gil.

Make sense I guess, by buying the wedding rings, which require real cash, they still profit off of it. Where-as selling art for gil, there is no profit in that for them.

oh i was just tossing that out there since it was stated that we're not allowed to advertise art for gil here and didn't want anyone to get the idea it'd be good to do it in game on the off chance it's not allowed to sell the rings is all. :3 but the post above stats it's allowed even if se isn't exactly cool with the idea.
I can confirm pretty much everything I've read in this thread is true. I recently purchased two eternal bond bracelets for my rp partner and I and I could only carry one at a time. I posted one of to him before grabbing mine from the mail box. I've seen people in my company selling platinum bands for around the 1.2 mil mark and they just trade them to the player after receiving their funds.
