Today, at around 3:00 pm cst. The Out of Character pearl kind of went up in flames. Miyu being the leader of the pearl felt it was needed that we remake the pearl since it was nearing the cap limit. These intentions were good and easy to see why it needed to be done. However, the way it was carried out wasn't so good.

All members were given only a 10 minute notice before the recreation of the pearl. Miyu insisted that he made it known for weeks that this was about to happen, yet no one on the shell was aware of this and there was not even a single post on the RPC or Lodestone stating when this was to occur. Simply put, the members were very pissed and confused.

Amongst the chaos, Miyu even stated that he wasn't leadership material and was only a pearl holder, saying this shell is a community and went with the decision to remake the shell anyways, despite the pleas of the members saying that this wasn't a good idea.



All and all, after having an agreement with Miyu and a small handful of other members. It's come to the decision that I'll be taking leadership and moderation control of the Out of Character pearl. For now the pearl will still be under Miyu's leadership and will remain that way till the server merge. A few weeks before the merge I will be making another post on the RPC with a scheduled repearling time for the members to come and pick up a new pearl and gain pearling status.

As for how the shell is right now, I understand there are only three spots left before the shell hits the cap limit. I would like to kindly ask at least for now, that all members remove their alts to open up space incase any newer members wish to join before the merge. If the spots still becomes cluttered I will personally write the newer members names down and make a temporary sub pearl to stay in close contact with them till I am able to get them into the newly created Out of Character shell after the merge.

I understand this is sudden and many people may be upset with Miyu but please understand that his intentions were still in the interest of the community and only wanted to help. In other words, don't bash his face in because of this. He did voice and managed to get our dwindling community back together again, only now I will step in and make sure that we keep it this way.

We are a community and it is only when we stick together that we can remain that way.

If anyone has anything they'd like to add please feel free to post. I welcome any advice and suggestions. This is everyone's shell, so don't be shy.

Fantastic, really thanks for this Gospel, much much appriciated and really takes quite something of my shoulders. Not that I don't love "moderating" the shell and love the shell totally in it's entirety, but sometimes I just wanna log on after a long day and just talk with the people with the same interest, rp, and just have fun.

Although not many people agreed with me or my decision(s), I did it in the main interested of the whole rp community, meaning that if one disagreed but two agreed i would go with the two agreeing. I hope people will understand this after all this though, if not then not and i respect that as well.
I bow down to Gospel's calmness that I envy and appriciate his help in this particular case a -lot-. I hope sincerely that the RP community will still stay together due of this and not dwell away due to personal hatred and/or vendetta's and hope they stay with Gospel and the rest of the community and may it stay a tightly knit together group.

I want to say sorry to the people I pissed off, this was absolutely not my interest in any way what-so-ever and as Gospel herefor mentioned it was because of my -personal- believe to improve the community and help us in a general sense.

I want to say sorry to the people who cannot join for the moment untill after the server merge, please please stay in contact in Gospel's seperate shell and join us on the new server where we can continue our stories and adventures together.

Uh, ok. Gospel, is it possible to toss me a pearl/leader access today/tomorrow? My LS is having a meeting tomorrow and it would be a great time to re-pearl them, since I am doing Everwatch re-pearl as well.

Sure, I can toss you a pearl. Just keep in mind that this is only a sub pearl for the people that can't fit inside the Out of Character pearl that we have now. The actual main Out of Character shell which we have now will continue to stay as it is until it disappears with the server merge. So in reality this sub-pearl will be empty for awhile since we still have some spaces open on the first pearl. If you still want one, I'll be sure to get one to you ASAP.

I got a little moody today during all this and want to apologize to those who had to deal with it. This pearl is still a great idea, it's just been poorly executed at some points. Gospel has my support in taking the lead of the new pearl when it needs to be made and I think that the pearl will be able to serve its purpose once more to unite the community.

I'm glad I missed all the drama, but double glad everyone is still OK with each other! It's nice to be reminded that most folks in the RP community are mature enough to live and let live.

Next time I log on I'll have Tiv drop pearl so the other RPers can come in. much as I want to RP with him more, he's pretty useless for anything else at this point.

Just wondering, how many people in the RP community have alts? If there's enough of them we could have an entire OoC extention just for them!
