They said awhile back that they didn't like the idea of people taking "dirty" screenshots, so I'd assume it's to deal with Miqo'te twerking and other things, maybe even a slight adjustment to hide the upskirt that happens to? I'm not sure on the last one but I think it's mainly the twerking.
I get this sinking feeling Clio will lock Kurt in the FC workshop unless it would be time for his biweekly hour break.
I'm curious as to why we have new job quests at 50 but we get our first new skills at 52?

welcome to launch 2.0! where there were login issues, so people stayed logged in, clogged the servers and caused more issues until SE implemented the timer.

They've learned.

I'm really on the edge of my seat to see how much they are being changed.
I hope it's only a slight tweak.
I get nervous about animation/character model changes...

Oh well. At least poetics will be easy to get now.
Housing system design choices:

A) Exclusive and does nothing.

B) Available and does unique things.

Devs need to pick one.
Want red and black Coeurl. BAD. Wonder where that will come from.

No Au Ra naming conventions yet but many other things. Just *rattles out of chair* with excitement. Wonder how likely it'll be that a two man FC who doesn't craft can build an airship/what else you can build in there.
I was disappointed by the lack of extra Armory space.  I already have a hard time holding my outfits and my normal class gear.  At least the retainers will give me somewhere to put my gear.

(Yes, I know they can't do it because of console players, primarily, but it'd still be nice if we got more space in the armor, even 10, hell, even 5 more spaces would help.)

I will be extremely disappointed if housing gets any more development time or money wasted on it before the actual problems inherent in the system are addressed.

Housing is one of the few things that FFXIV has screwed up badly in my opinion. If they ever add a new housing district then they need to limit the amount of houses that a player can own in it to one per server, per account.

Personal rooms are decent but they still end up with the unfortunate situation where players are locked out of playing around with exterior decorations. Wildstar's housing model was brilliant - it was unlocked fairly early on, everybody could get one and the time/gold sink was limited to specific pieces of decoration rather than essential stuff.

I think housing is going to be one of the biggest controversies as the game moves forward unless we get some confirmation that it's going to be made accessible. I have a feeling it won't be, though, if only because of technical limitations.

Another issue is that on a server like Balmung there's no houses free aside from those that people own and sell - so whilst the base price might be, say, 10 million gil (which is already very steep for anybody not investing in crafting/gathering) they're being bought up and sold by rich players for almost twice that price or more.

...and on servers where there aren't a lot of players they're just gathering dust. Yet people are unlikely to transfer there purely for housing when they've friends and connections on their current server.

This is good. I hate AFK drones that linger for days. They'll eventually go back to normal but for this release? Good on SE.

EDIT: I can't see notes at work so just commenting on something I found interesting. Smile

From what I'm interpreting from the notes - if it's a personal house you do NOT get access to the workshop.

So it makes the whole deal even more baffling because all personal houses technically means one less FC on the server can have an airship.
