Alright, the last thread gave me another idea... Eorzea art and locations can be very inspiring, and so... what would be the places IRL that would look alike with Eorzean locations, or remind you of them?

I'm starting with one of the various versions of RL Thanalan, I hope you will humour me:





Alright now, past the obvious Grand Canyon reference, here is another less obvious place:







Which is located in the Esterel on the Riviera (Mediterranean sea). Just lack the huge thanalan land hammers, the cerruleum pipes and the railways and we have it I guess..

Between old gothic-influenced architecture, mountains, tons of snow, French speakers and, yes, dragons (well ok, dinosaur fossils, but close enough), I would like to nominate Canada for Coerthas.
