Last week I got MILK Makeup's Holographic Stick which I absolutely lovelovelove. It IS oily so it will crease on eyelids and for that reason you'll want to tap it over the top of your makeup rather than wipe it on. But I totally feel like a galactic princess when I wear it, lol.

The marketing of "made with meteorite powder" sold me. Wow! Stars on my face! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

In reality that probably means iron oxides and silicates, but STARS! ON MY FACE!

Anyway, it's really pretty popped over the top of lipsticks.

I didn't, but that's a long story that involves TooFaced's Born This Way foundation letting me down!

I'll explain when I'm less tired.

Oh my god!

I was just telling my waifu that I wanted to get it and use it for cosplaying at fanfest (although I'm not sure if it's happening any more due to that I am lazy). I swatched it in store and i was like "I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING WITH THIS" and one of the ideas I came up with was to be like a frozen galactic princess of some sort.

Anyhow I am very glad someone else shares my sentiments and excitements of this product Wink
Okay.

So, I got the wrong Superbalanced Makeup, as y'all might remember. But I did try it. However, I didn't really like it. The color was my color (unlike the Conceal and Perfect foundation sample they included), but the coverage is really light. It says it's buildable, but I haven't found that to be the case.

However, it's not drying, and it doesn't cling to dry patches.

Still, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in Snow. I've used it before, but at the time the lightest shade available was Porcelain, which is a bit too dark for me. So I got Snow, which is the right shade.

Well, I haven't ever had this happen with the Porcelain color, but the Snow color just clings to all of my dry patches. On my chin, I look like I have little white dots across my skin, even though I don't - it's the foundation. It balls up around my eyes and generally ends up looking either cakey by the end of the day, or vanishing completely. I haven't figured out how to mitigate this, despite using primers and moisturizers in an attempt to alleviate the issue with the dry skin patches.

Very disappointing.

I also purchased the Pur Cosmetics "Love Your Selfie 2" palette. It's beautiful:

But, I returned it. Dodgy

The issue I have with it is that the eye shadows, while lovely, don't last. They crease up and vanish within 5 hours of application - even with primer (I tried Urban Decay, Smashbox, and Wet 'n Wild primers). This made me so sad that I went ahead and took it back. Sad I do not recommend it.
I got paid yesterday so I thought "Why not go out to Sephora and lush?" While I was at Sephora, I finally got that one contour palette I've been eyeing for the past month.

Kat Don D. Contour Palette

The case is really nice and has colors that work for my pale skin. The only problem is that I've never used something like this before and I have no ideas what I'm doing. I watched some videos about it before bed, but it's going to take some practice for sure.

I also got me some new Urban Decay Vice lipstick with a lip liner to go with it. The color is Rock Steady and was one of the darker shades that was recommended from my color iq number.

When I went to lush, instead of buying a bunch of Halloween bath bombs, I just bought a bunch of Christmas ones......
Since I returned the pretty Pur Cosmetics palette that was so bad, I ended up picking this up instead:

It's so, so pretty. SO pigmented. The shimmers and metallics are to die for.

It's already out of stock at Ulta, so I recommend grabbing it at Sephora if you want it. It's limited edition!

I have the kat von D palette and I LOVE it. But I got the original one before they came out with the refillable palette though so :c In the original one, the bottom right pan is basically unusable for someone with fair skin. I do use if as eyeshadow at times and it checks out!
Also I am at fanfest and many the cosplayers got gorgeous makeup on, in additional to their costumes Heart lol makes me want to cosplay next year too!!!
I've thought about getting the Kat Von D contour palette (I have the shade & light eye palette), but I can't really decide between that and this:

Personally, I'd go with the Kat pallette. Too Faced can be hit or miss, at least with me. Everything I've tried from Kat is consistently good.

As I continue to use this palette, I realize that as soon as I go to apply, it looks super dark and I think "I messed up, oh gods nooooo". So I go to blend it, then it looks like it changed anything. So as of right now, I'm in that weird in between part where I kinda know what I'm doing, but not really.

Same here, I hope to try some of her Everlasting lipsticks, but right now, I'm hooked on Urban Decay.
