IC

We are Starfall Trading Co.! A travelling trading company originally based in Ishgard. Having moved down South to Gridania and eventually to the Goblet, we wish to offer our goods and services to those who are in need of them. Every now and then, Starfall will embark on an adventure to different parts of Eorzea to both collect a certain area's native materials and sell or deliver said materials once we head back into town! Currently, we are in the process of fixing up our shop so that we may eventually open up to the public. However, we are still accepting orders and performing special jobs on the side.




OOC

We are a Role-playing Free Company whose content is primarily based off of exploration and mercantile. We aim to create a friendly community for those whose characters enjoy, or would like to have a go with the life of a frequently traveling trading company. Though we may be better suited for characters with a mercantile background, Starfall Trading Co. accepts all walks of life. With a shop, a tavern, and a gathering crew in the works, there are plenty of opportunities for employment. We also host IC meetings to reflect on current FC events and to get a bit of an idea on every character's wants and needs so we can build on their own personal stories. It should also go into mentioning that we primarily function in US Eastern time.

Additionally, we often wander the roads less traveled with our events (within reason). So even if we spend most of our time laying around the company building, we also spend a good chunk of time on the road.
Lastly, being a trading company, obtaining materials, making delivieries, and selling our wares to others is something definitely not foreign to us. Should you or your company/group be in need of our services, be it a merchant stand for a festival, repairs, etc. You can definitely count on us! We are located in Ward 9, Plot 4, The Goblet and will be more than happy to assist.

We also have a linkshell available for those already in a Free Company who would like to get involved with our events, wish to arrange some RP, or join us on our adventures.

Things have been going great for the company since we've started up! We've recruited several members, as well as opened our own stall for the Festival of Free Companies (Hosted by the lovely Aziza Nightshade and The Bastion of Twelve) where we managed to give out fifteen mammets and sold eleven rings. We're glad to have gotten our name out there a bit more, especially for an RP FC such as us just starting out!
Additionally, we have gained one new member as well as several additions to our Linkshell!



Now for updates. Now that we've gotten a good handful of members, we'll soon be kicking off with our events! From spontaneous RP, company workshops, special stories, and outdoor gatherings, we've got a lot in store for the next month!

With activities and such beginning to pick up within the company, we figured it'd be best to try and jumble everything up in a weekly report. From business meetings to company outings, we've been keeping busy!

A Change in Functionality

Starting next week, we will be slowly getting adjusted from one event per week to two events a week along with a biweekly third! We figured that waiting all week for a single event was unsatisfying - boring, even. As a result, we have decided to add more days!
Confused with the new timetable of events? Here's a small example.

Week 1: Event Days - Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday
Week 2: Event Days - Wednesday and Saturday
Week 3: Event Days - Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday

...And so on!

Orientations and Business Meetings

Starfall was finally able to complete orientation! For the members who have attended, they were given the opportunity to meet and greet their fellow co-workers as well as learn more about what will be going on within Starfall Trading Co. Afterwards, everyone got a chance to unwind and relax with some rice wine, courtesy of our very own Gyosei Tsuwamono.

Additionally, we have also managed to complete our first workshop-type event. During the evening, the company was rounded up and given a briefing on the survey that was to happen a week later. They were also given the opportunity to relax and socialize as well as have a chance to model some of the company's wares for an upcoming showcase!

Survey Into South Shroud

On the evening of the 16th of April, Starfall Trading Company embarked on their first survey into South Shroud. For those unaware, Starfall Trading Company's Survey type events involve the company going out into the wild and searching for whatever there is worth grabbing up!

Everyone that gathered for the event was armed with swords, magic tomes, bows, and more! With our heads held high, we've begun our hike from Quarrymill over to Urth's Gift..and what a 'gift' it was! We've all managed to locate some valuable ores and crystals, and one lucky member in particular managed to spot some Lapis Lazuli!

Upon exiting Urth's Gift, the party had accidentally stumbled across a nearby Goblin longstop. Two goblins, quite angered at our trespassing, have decided to attack! Worry not, though. Armed and prepared, the company fought back and were victorious!

Carrying on with the survey, we've made it towards the other side of Quarrymill where we were able to examine the different types of flora. However (thanks to RNGesus), some of us were unlucky and got a nasty bee sting to the neck as well as gotten tangled in a rather large mess of poison Ivy. After gathering up our remaining strength and taking a few minutes to recover, the party pressed on further until we've finally reached Buscarron's Druthers where we parted ways to recover. Those who have managed to survive both bee stings and poison ivy drank the rest of the night away.

Housing Update

Currently, Starfall Trading Co. has saved up to a sum of around 32m. We're getting there, folks! After a bit more farming and content between events, we'll be sure to have enough gil for a medium, if not a small house for the company by the time the next patch comes around!

Happy Sunday, everyone! Dezmond and A'mahri here with your weekly Starfall Trading Co. report! This week, the company took the time to unwind and relax. After the events of South Shroud, the company was due for a little vacation. Though, we weren't slacking! We still managed to get work done.

Having spent a rather long time cooped up in Gridania, ST-RP was due for a little change in scenery. With that said, the company had set sail for Limsa Lominsa! Our original plans were to start venturing into Thanalan, but Limsa Lominsa proved more beneficial towards member plots and stories - so we've decided to head there for a few weeks. With the little misadventure in the outskirts of Quarrymill a week prior and the company all banged up, worn out, and...itchy, it was high time for a little vacation.

On Saturday of the 23rd, Starfall Trading Co. as well as some special guests had embarked on a little fishing trip along the piers of Costa Del Sol. Due to miscommunication between the Fishermen's guild and The Bismarck, Starfall was requested to catch a few fish in return for borrowing their equipment - in which the company happily complied.
The day overall was relaxing. Though the weather was quite unpredictable, we still managed to soak in some of the La Noscean sun! Those who have gathered have managed to catch some pretty huge fish, as well. One of our own, Releki, had eventually fished up a bottled note - thus initiating our first ever FC Storyline.
Though things were a bit chaotic at the start of the event, things have settled down quickly and we thank those who have decided to come along!

As stated above, one of our members had fished up a note in a bottle while on a fishing trip in Costa Del Sol. Upon the company opening the bottle, the contents revealed a small, scrunched up piece of parchment with nothing but the word "MOSS" scribbled on it in blue ink. At the moment, the company is currently trying to decipher the hidden meaning behind the parchment. Will Starfall be heading on a little treasure hunt? Is this message in a bottle just a sham? Who knows!

Happy May, everyone! A'mahri and Dezmond here with your weekly Starfall Trading Co. Report. This week, we've managed to unravel some mysteries regarding a certain note in a bottle one of our members fished up. Additionally, we've taken the liberty of spending a day of relaxation in Costa Del Sol! We'll soon be packing our bags and setting sail for Thanalan within a week or so.



That's right! Officially established on February 29th, Starfall Trading Co. has been running for nearly two months now. In that time, we've definitely made quite a few friends and have gained several additions to both the FC and LS. Well done, everybody!

Starfall Trading Co. gathered at Costa Del Sol to soak in the sun and have some fun! It turned out to be a pretty fun evening and the company even played a game of water-bomb (a little roll-based game similar to 'Hot Potato') as suggested by one of our members! Some jokes were told, some people were thrown into the water, and some people got SOAKED by water before even touching the ocean!

Thank you to those who have turned up for the event. It’s definitely going to be a night to remember! Now, we have more pictures of the beach-side event on our Tumblr, so feel free to check them out!




Starfall Trading Co. started on its first ever plot-oriented event, triggered by one of our members, Releki! During the fishing trip, the Auri woman fished up a message in a bottle which revealed a piece of parchment with the word 'MOSS'. Some of the members of the company were baffled as to what the hidden message meant. After some observation, it was then revealed by Haru, another one of our members, that the weathered piece of parchment was a map pointing towards a section of Eastern La Noscea! This event is still on-going, and Phase II will be due to hit on the 7th of May.



Since we've started up, Starfall's been moving quite often! We've started up in Gridania and have stayed there for a few weeks, and now we've moved to Limsa Lominsa for an IC vacation! Soon, we'll be setting sail for Thanalan and will start slowly making our way towards Mor Dhona.

A few questions were raised regarding whether or not we'll be entering Ishgard, being ST-RP was originally established there. That will be depending on whether or not members are even able to access Ishgard in the first place. Until we're at a comfortable ratio of members who are able to enter (no man left behind!), we'll be putting off going to Ishgard until a later date and will continue travelling around the lower parts of Eorzea.



We can honestly say we're extremely close to being able to afford a medium house once patch 3.3 comes around. Close as in...about 2-3m close.
Should we be too slow to find a medium house once the servers open back up with the patch, we still have more than enough gil saved up for a small.
HOPEFULLY, they don't decide to bump up the prices even more with the release of new wards.

Happy Sunday, everybody! Catboss and Ser Dezzalot here with your weekly Starfall Trading Co. Report. This week, we had finally brought our little vacation in La Noscea to a close and we are currently packing our bags to our next destination: Ul'dah!

Additionally, we've finally concluded our first ever storyline with some pretty interesting results!




Our week started off with a friendly sparring session at Moreby Drydocks. With last week's treasure map finally deciphered, it was a perfect opportunity to get in a bit of practice should we face any danger along the way in the future. It was quite a good turnout, and everyone fought to the best of their ability against their friends and rivals. Two members in particular, Haru and Balther, came out on top in terms of being undefeated for the duration of the event (Thanks, RNG). Well done, you two!



Our next adventure brought us to Camp Bronze Lake, where the company took the time to relax in the steamy waters and recover from some of the beatings they have obtained during the sparring session. It was a pretty relaxing day and it gave an opportunity for us all to get to know each-other a little bit more. Haru and Balther's fighting spirit never left from the other day, as they once again went at it in the hot-springs! It was quite a spectacular display of both Balther's hand-to-hand combat as well as Haru's use of magic.




Our final journey this week brought us to Eastern La Noscea, where we embarked on our little treasure hunt. For those who have been following our journey, Releki had fished up a note in the bottle while on a fishing trip in Costa Del Sol that held nothing but the word "MOSS". After a few days of stuffing our heads into maps and books, we've finally discovered that the note was a faded map that lead to the South of Wineport. Armed and ready to go (with an additional guest!) , Starfall began their little hunt.


This event in general went pretty smoothly and took some expected turns. We'd like to give a huge thank you to those who've decided to join in on our adventure. It also gave us a bit of help in figuring out what events and systems need a bit of tweaking in the company, and also gave us a bit of insight on future events as well!

This week, the company's vacation in La Noscea had finally come to a close and we have since then packed our belongings and set sail for Thanalan. Will Starfall run into trouble with bandits, Brass Blades, or other roadside oddities? Who knows!

Company Wine & Dine

On the 11th of May, Starfall Trading Co. brought their vacation to a close over a meal and some Cabernet Sauvignon in Wineport. Before the company began embracing their inner Sommeliers, a small briefing was given regarding the voyage over towards Thanalan which would take place two suns later. After a discussion of the possibilities of getting pricked by cacti, getting mugged, and possibly filling in a few orders for the Amajina & Sons Mineral Concern, the company soon parted ways after getting their fill of wine.

Starfall Trading Co. Hits Thanalan

Having spent more than enough time indulging on the luxuries that La Noscea had to offer, it was high time that Starfall Trading Co. packed up and boarded the next ferry towards Vesper Bay, Western Thanalan. It was a rather long journey across rough waters and the company deserved a bit of a rest and a day off to settle into the new terrain.
What better way is there to relax than head out for a few drinks? Several members of Starfall have been spotted loitering around various player-owned establishments across the Goblet (thank you for having us, guys! ♥) where they have filled themselves up with plenty of food and drink.

Afterward, the company sat down in the Silver Bazaar to discuss a bit of business. Slowly getting back into a work schedule, a survey into Central Thanalan and a visit to the Coffin & Coffer were scheduled. After those jobs are done, Starfall will slowly be making a move towards Mor Dhona and Coerthas.

Company System Overhaul

That's right! If you rewind a tad and see our original Linkshell post, you'd see it looks pretty different. That's because Starfall Trading Co. is having a bit of a system reworking period. After getting some feedback and advice from the lovely community, the FC is undergoing a few changes that won't really effect the company much in an IC level.

These changes include getting rid of super-specific event labels, switching from Discord to Skype for easier OOC/IC communication (Since SE loves eating up RP posts), a bit of reworking around our system to better accommodate more types of RPers, and a few visual changes to both our Enjin and Linkshell post.



So, it looks like the news about housing has finally been released. Starfall is definitely more than excited at the decrease in pricing, as is everyone else by the looks of it! Taking a quick peek at our funds at the moment, we definitely have more than enough for a medium. All we have to do now is twiddle our thumbs and join the housing race once the next patch becomes available.

While our hopes are fairly high, we might as well disclose some information as to what we actually plan on doing with the house. Being a trading company, our initial plan is to create a sort of workshop to take in IC commissions. With the upstairs area, perhaps we will create a sort of lodging area for players to come and go as they please. Not much thought has been put in for the downstairs area, but hopefully we could open a tavern or something in the future! Again, these are just ideas and a whole lot of wishful thinking - we've still got plenty of time!

Happy Sunday, everyone! A'mahri Kahz and Dezmond Neophytos here with your weekly Starfall Trading Co. report. This week, the company wrapped up business in Thanalan and are now en route to Mor Dhona! Additionally, two of our members engaged in an Eternal Bonding ceremony this week, so congratulations to both Sareyu Ejinn and Balther Strongblade. May your hearts continue to beat as one until the very end!



This week, Starfall Trading Co. stopped by the Coffer & Coffin to drink and be merry! Along with a special guest, the company participated in a friendly drinking game. With luck on her side, Seveno came out on top with the least amount of drinks, while Balther and his liver of steel had consumed the most ale for the duration of the competition.



On the 20th of May at 7:00pm, bells were ringing as Sareyu Ejinn and Balther Strongblade exchanged vows and became husband and wife. We’d like to thank each and every one of you who have joined in for the occasion, as well as give an even bigger thank-you to Gen Quickpaw and the rest of Might and Magitek <<MM-RP>> for allowing us to come to the Sword & Skillet for a reception!!




Yesterday, we embarked on a survey in Central Thanalan. With the amount of rock formations scattered about the location, there was bound to be different types of ore and other sorts of metals that the company could make use of. Heading south of Black Brush Station, we have actually managed to pick up some Iron ore as well as spot some saffron not too far away.

Our moment of celebration upon finding items of use was soon cut short, as a Spriggan soon popped out of one of the crevices and snatched Dezmond's firearm! After a game of cat-and-mouse, we've managed to corner the Spriggan inside of the Sil'Dih Excavation Site. However, several more Spriggans joined the fray. Despite our numbers being short, we've managed to clear the area with minor injury.

Afterward, we took one extra look around for more materials. Having found more copper and iron ore, the survey was then wrapped up and the rest of us have started preparations for our entry into Mor Dhona.

Happy Sunday and early Memorial Day, everyone! Starfall Trading Co. here with your weekly report! This week, activity has been slowing down slightly due to a mixture of OOC conflict and anticipation for Patch 3.3 - which we're definitely looking forward to with the recent release of the trailer. Aren't you guys hyped up for it, too?

In a change of subject, Starfall Trading Co. is now entering its 4th month of activity. Time sure flies by when you least expect that. With June less than a few days away, an update post will be posted on to our enjin soon showing both our monthly progress, intoducing new members, and giving a bit of a sneak-peak of future events.

Starfall Trading Co. *late* Weekly Report - June 12th

Have a belated 'Happy June', everybody! Starfall Trading Co. here with your weekly report. After taking a bit of a break to prepare for patch 3.3, we're back in action - and we're definitely excited to share some good news on our end, too!

Now that 3.3 has rolled in, there's a whole buncha new content in store! Some of us have sampled what Square has thrown at us, and we're pretty pleased for the most part (except for Mhach...sheesh!). Being we've skipped over last week's report, let's go straight into it - shall we?



Concluding our business in Mor Dhona, we've finally packed our bags and took a small hike towards Fallgourd Float whilst cutting through Coerthas. The weather was pretty cold (and some of us were underdressed *coughmahricough*) so we've decided to move quickly...all while being pursued by a strange entity.

While we were unaware as to who was following us, strange occurences began taking their place with the caravan. Snowballs were being pelted at us from out of nowhere, one of our members being thrown into a whole heap of embarrassing situations, and soon we began hearing voices from something or someone, calling themself the Snow-wrath.

Needless to say, we've rushed out of Coerthas as soon as possible.

We did it, Folks!

On the 7th of June at 6:00am, the Great Housing War of Eorzea had taken place. A sea of civilians, both FCs and normal individuals alike, all made their way to the housing zones of the Mists, Lavendar Beds, and Goblet. One of those groups of people in particular...were us!

Thank you to Dezmond who had volunteered to stay up for the night in an attempt to grab us a plot. Though the ridiculous 1k+ queue proved difficult at first, we've had a couple of friends that were able to assist us! In the end of all the housing chaos, we've eventually grabbed a Medium house in the Goblet...which brings us to the next topic.

Starfall Trading is Officially Open for Business!

Located in Ward 9 of the Goblet at Plot 4, Starfall Trading Co. is officially opening their doors for people to come in, browse, and relax! Our house is open to anyone and everyone, and we will begin taking IC commissions of items towards other FCs or people wishing to use our services. Feel free to stop by when you get the chance! Even when nobody's around, the building's open for RP regardless.

Currently, our FC house is broken into three sections - the shop, the infirmary, and the tavern. In a means to create some extra gil, we'll eventually be looking to host tavern events of our own! If you'd like to see some pictures of the house in its completion, check them out on our tumblr!

Linkshell Activity Rising

Those who have been in our LS since the beginning of ST-RP would definitely notice this. We've been having a spike in activity in our OOC linkshell for the past week or so! For those wishing to join in on the spontaneous conversations and other adventures, we're once again accepting people into the linkshell. If you would like an invite, feel free to poke A'mahri Kahz, Dezmond Neophytos, Balther Strongblade, or Sareyu Ejinn.

Ahoy, FFXIV community! Starfall Trading Co. here with your weekly report. Being the company had been settling into the new house, not a lot had happened within the company. Worry not, though! A heavy influx of IC orders have been coming into the company as of late, so ST-RP is ready to go to work yet again.

Additionally, we have a few special announcements to make - so let’s go right into it, shall we?


Last weekend, Starfall Trading Co. headed out on a more ‘local’ survey into the outer areas of Camp Drybone. We’ve managed to procure some pretty good materials such as pearl ginger root, crystals, and button mushrooms, as well as had a few unfortunate encounters with some white scorpions which had decided to join us on our travels. After a good ol’ fashioned game of Scorpion Toss, Sareyu had been unlucky enough to get one of the scorpions caught in her robes. Luckily, no fatal damage was inflicted, and Sareyu had eventually managed to shake the critter off.

On Wednesday, Starfall had gathered around the basement of their newly furnished basement to have a meeting in regards to what would be going on with the company for the next moon or so. Additionally, a promotion was handed out to a certain someone whose enthusiasm and positive work ethic brings a smile to most, if not everyone in the free company and out. So - Sareyu Ejinn, congratulations on your IC/OOC promotion to both an officer and leading medical practitioner of Starfall Trading Co.

On Thursday evening, friends and co-workers alike had gathered around to set up a surprise Nameday party for one of our youngest members (ICly), S’arraqanis Seveno! It was an evening of laughs, cake, relentless tickling, gifts, and ego bursts. Even-though she can be a brat, a pain in the butt, and a bit of a handful, we love her anyway.


That’s right! Recently, the company had been sitting down and talking about the possibility of a restaurant being established in the downstairs area of our Free Company estate. Details are currently being worked out (well, mostly the menu..) but we are shooting to host an opening on the 10th of July at 7pm EST.

Sometime in the future, a thread will be posted with additional information on both the RPC and our Enjin. If you happen to be in the area at the time, feel free to stop by and say hello - or sit down and relax with some good food and conversation.

If you, or anyone you know would like to assist with staffing, feel free to shoot a message towards A’mahri Kahz either in-game or on the RPC, or Sareyu Ejinn in-game. This doesn’t mean that you have to join our FC, but a few helping hands with running the establishment on our opening nights is mostly what we need. At the moment, we’re rather short on waiting staff, so if your character has some experience or would like to learn, feel free to give us a poke!

With a recent influx of members joining the FC, our second story arc event had been postponed. However, to replace the event that was meant to be held last night, we’ve opened Starfall Trading HQ to the public for a night of relaxation, mingling, and overall enjoying each other’s company. We have to say though, the turnout was pretty good! Thank you to those who had attended the occasion - it was fun meeting and conversing with such a wide spectrum of characters.

With the amount of members joining the FC, recruitment will be slowed down a bit. However, it’ll be back in full swing once we get everyone settled in and comfortable.

Hello Friends! This has been such a wonderful yet busy week for us at Starfall Trading Company! What seemed like an overwhelming start to the week with the countless orders upon us, it quickly turned into a great success. By the end of the week we got some well-deserved time to welcome our new colleagues that joined aboard. Without further ado, allow us to give you all the juicy details!


Four suns ago, A’mahri had initiated “Hell Week” upon us at our weekly meeting. She explained that we had numerous orders to fulfill in a short amount of time which also had to be shipped out! Upon the arrival of the meeting it looked very bleak as there were not many of us but it seems for the first time ever…many of us were late! This is the first time in the company’s history this has ever happened so it was rather amusing.

We ended up going to Oakwood to find everything on our botany list and then some shellfish for our clients! A’mahri’s shining moment was when she found a glowing blue gem which is suspected to be a rock containing aetherial properties relating to water. Haru and Celise’s “monster bass” quickly stole the show at the end. None of us have ever seen a fish that big! Well done on the successful work everybody, a long rest is needed!


One by one within the wooded area of Upper La Noscea known as Poor Maid’s Mill we stood in unity with two new members of our company: Koharu Iyashi and Syrielle Tayuun. Both ladies have recently joined Starfall Trading Co. and will be assisting in the medical ward. Koharu is currently apprenticing under Dr. Sareyu and Syrielle will be helping out with alchemy. We welcome both of you and we’re so grateful to have you both here with us! The night was not perfect by any means though, as Sareyu had soon noticed something awry with Koharu.


At the end of the induction, Sareyu chased after Koharu in a rush. Koharu explained she had gone to see her “master” and had gotten attacked by a mysterious spell-casting being that attacked her with a virus-like spell. She now sits in the infirmary and awaits as the entire company works hard to solve this mystery. Thanks to Dezmond’s “smarts” and research combined with the rest of the crew’s abilities, we are in hopes of a better tomorrow for our Koharu.


Please do not forget that Starlight Bistro opens July 10th at 7:00 pm EST in the Goblet Ward 9 Plot 4. We would love to see you all there to join us on our big day!
We will also be rehearsing the Bistro's grand opening Saturday July 9th at 7:00 pm EST exclusively for the members of the company.

For those of you exclusively in the company or linkshell that enjoy some fun in the sun, Starfall Trading Company is hosting our first “moonly” beach party, starting on the 15th of July. Each month, we will be hosting a party located at a waterfront for role-play, fun, and ooc music which will be hosted by Sareyu. Music will start at 7:00pm when the party starts and the queue should be open for your own YouTube videos to be posted in so feel free to join in the fun of DJ-ing!



We have updated our application with a few more questions that we have found essential to learning about our members. If knowledge is power, then communication is the key to power.

We have added and fixed some OOC rules and regulations. Along with OOC rules and regulations, each member ICly has been given an official Starfall Trading Company Handbook with IC rules in it. Both updates on OOC and IC rules can be accessed here.
