So the other day I sat down with some friends and we started to dig through some old screenshots taken over the years. I thought it was a lot of fun to find all those old memories and was pleasantly surprised to be hit with such a huge amount of nostalgia. It was awesome to see how much my character, and all my friends had grown over the years.

Figured it might be fun to carry that over here to the forums and to see what everyone else has to share. I have some 4000 screenshots taken, but I figure I'll throw down a few of the more nteresting moments in my XIV career. I encourage everyone else to do the same!

I have tons of screenshots myself, though none of them are anything particularly exciting given my short stint in playing. Most are from beta events and the like.

..I have too many. But it's been an awesome two years! These are just some of the ones I like.

2010/1570
Open-beta, on my shoddy laptop, the days back when I had one "i" in Aysun's surname. FFXIV became my new MMOhome at this point despite all the problems.

Around launch time. I was in love with Ul'dah. No LS in those days, just a couple of RP pearls that fell apart before even really getting started.

And then I met these guys. Sanctus Refero. This was the night I met them and was recruited.

First Starlight celebration in Eorzea! Getting the Santa suit was such an ordeal back then!


2011/1571
I started getting out more. Though I didn't level CNJ again after this for nearly a year. o_o

Corbin (aka Aoixin) was being inappropriate with Sterne.

My first time to Ishgard (and it was IC, too!).

Sanctus Refero after an official induction ceremony for new members (mine included!).

First annual Mavanix fashion show I got suckered into ICly.

Sanctus hosted a ball of some sort (Alona had silly uniforms for the hired help as you can see from mine and a few other Miqo'tes attire). I left names on because I was overwhelmed by the amount of people who came. I miss these days!

First NM hunt. I became the ritual sacrifice for Dodore because I was under-leveled. x3

IC moment in La Noscea. Sterne was so surprised that little Weaver-Aysun was an Archer.

Another fun NM hunt. And I wasn't dead this time.

Outer Heaven mission:

Vertigo (henchwoman of Cartius Mavanix/Felstar) goes toe to toe with "the Crow," who's actually Keir Loell.

Ekidnah Mavanix, member of Decretum Umbra, lures Outer Heaven into a deadly trap:

Father and daughter meet face-to-face after learning that Sera's mother kept them apart for Sera's entire life:

Castiel/Kylin gets suckered into helping rehearse for a play. Since the princess didn't show up, that was the role he was forced to play...

Outer Heaven gets hired to help magician, Marvani the Great, prepare for a magic show. Little do they know who he really is...

During the magic show, the audience is revealed to be a large illusion and Outer Heaven is left alone at the mercy of Marvani Mavanix, Decretum Umbra member. He unleashes a deadly spell that traps the group in a "world of illusion" spell where they're forced to face their innermost fears:

Ekidnah challenges the group once more, showing them dismal futures one by one and asking if they wish to continue on their path. Ironically, some of the futures ended up coming true O.o

Outer Heaven battles Lemdarva Mavanix of Decretum Umbra, along with his undead minions:

The final epic battle with Decretum Umbra, Outer Heaven fights against the group's matriarch, Carmilla Mavanix. The deadly sorceress devastates the group with summoned monstrosities and black mist.

Elriche and Elza go on a date. Little does Elriche know he's with the future Mavanix matriarch!

Kylin attends a Sentinel's Ark event to see what they're about. Little does he suspect he'll get sucked into a mission. He gets injured, helped by Myllor, and ends up having a slight crush on the knight in shining armor.

Elza shows she's her father's daughter by manipulating Everwatch. She promises to protect them from the Ul'dahn elite if they become her models in the Margarah fashion duel. She then tries to conjure up fear in Eva by having her stalked in order to validate the claim for Everwatch needing her protection.

Kylin mournes on Eva and Seraphine's shoulders at the sudden massacre of his family:

Mercenaries meet with a peaceful cultist leader who tries to help in the Mavanix investigations. The seer attempts to summon an astral projection of the demon behind the killings only to have her eyes bleed out instead:

Mercenaries do battle with GIN due to trickery from Vertigo:

Another of Vertigo's trap leads mercenaries into a cave-in after a deadly explosion:

Ekidnah tries to help the mercenaries in the Mavanix investigations just before she gets added to the tally of Mavanix casualities, assassinated by demon Juravis:

Mercs go into the Mavanix Mansion ruins and do battle with Mavanix ghosts seeking to revive themselves:

Kylin gets possessed by one of the Mavanix ghosts and tries to kill the mercs. Joachim Mavanix is vanquished in the end. Kylin meets Gerik here for the first time:

Cartius lives! His lengthy monolouge reveals he's actually a Felstar, not a Mavanix. And he used the mercs as pawns in his revenge against House Mavanix...

Mercenaries battle demon Juravis after Cartius unleashes him on the group:

Story time!

Kylin saves Gerik (kinda) from one of Deirdre's crazy moments.

Lemdarva tries to manipulate Vaelyn to get revenge on Eva for past Outer Heaven deeds.

Mavanix Academy dean, in an attempt at revenge, lures some mercenaries out. His mech tries to kill them all but he loses the fight and dies in the ensuing explosion:

"C'mon. Come to the gala. It'll be fun! What's the worse that can happen?"

Full Cold Moon gala, where the worst happens after the prayer session and meteors fall from the sky and causes aether to go chaotic just before Garleans arrive. Kylin is presumed dead after this event, as are a couple others I think~
