Yes! Hello! Can I just say that I'm stoked, but also very nervous to be posting here? I've been following this place off and on for a month or two now, so I decided to finally take the plunge and join in. The original plan was to join Balmung and then post here, but as everyone knows, Balmung is locked and will be for quite a while. Needless to say I was very bummed out since when I made my main character, Musinjo Malgranda, I just plucked a random server with the goal being to transfer to Balmung when I had the spare money to do so (which ended up being more than I expected when my husband decided to join me). Then that dreaded announcement came and wrecked my plans, haha. I desperately looked online for when Balmung would be unlocked and eventually stumbled upon the Alternative RP Server threads here. I knew and trust this place from previous stalking so when I saw everyone get together to name a lower pop server, it gave me hope. All that to say that me and my husband (sir not-appearing-on-this-website) are now moving to Mateus and I wouldn't have ever known about it if I didn't come here! I'd just like to take this moment to thank you guys and this community for coming together and giving this problem a solution. I really look forward to helping Mateus grow and to find thriving, exciting RP there.
MY ROLE-PLAYINGÂ EXPERIENCE
Okay... Now I know a lot of you have this extensive sheet of years of role-playing, especially with MMORPGs like WOW and such. I do not have that experience, haha. Years ago I used to roleplay on Gaia Online and that's all the experience I really have. Only this year did I finally want to bite the bullet and write again. My husband helped out with teaching me the basics on the old server we were on and now that I have the bare basics I want to dive into the deep end! I hope to find amazing RP here and I ask for others to be patient with me as I learn my way around. I apologize in advance is I do anything too off the wall! CHARACTER INFO
This may sound a bit odd, but my main RP character is a Dunesfolk Lalafell named Musinjo Malgranda. I know this goes against traditional naming themes for Lalafells in the game and there is a long winded story that goes along with that. To keep it somewhat brief, her husband Jocjo Ursema (my IRL husband's Miqo'te) is from a very isolated tribe out in the middle of Thanalan's deserts where the traditional thing to do is rename the girls you marry to mark 'ownership' over them since the idea is to marry multiple girls. Jocjo's name for my Lalafell when they married was Musinjo Malgranda. There's a lot more backstory there, but I'll save that for another time.~ I know this isn't sticking strictly to the lore of the game, but I hope that's okay. If anything is clearly just straight out unacceptable just let me know!
Other than the name she lost her memory after the Calamity and has a whole story arch to that as well. Need less to say she is now a reserved little mage (black mage primarily and white mage secondary) after several years of training. I have a good bunch of ideas for the future though I haven't fleshed her out entirely, but I hope to have her more solid in the future!
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
Hmm... I don't know what to really say other than that I aim to be a middle intensity RPer and I have a lot to learn! This is my first MMORPG community that I'm actively seeking to take a part of... It's really silly, but this game has inspired me to pick up a lot of things again and to try many new things! I don't know what makes me so passionate about it, but I'm rather obsessed, haha. Other than that I'm pretty simple. I'm happily married (as I've mentioned several times by now, oops) and I'm pretty shy... So if I don't post much after this... It's probably because I'm a bit shy still and am unsure what to say!
This whole post may be me just jumping the gun seeing as how I'm not even on Mateus just quite yet, but I plan to be very soon! I just got too excited for my own good, haha. Anyway, thank you for reading this or even just browsing! I look forward to RPing and writing with you guys! IÂ probably overshared a little, sorry. ^^;
