How this Works: This is a venture board for Balmung. On this board will be placed various types of jobs for various types of people. Ventures can accepted by anyone, but through officials - The Veil staff members. Once a job is accepted that person should go into the world and have fun with it! When a bill is complete the person who took it must report in for their reward. There are rumors however of a second board, a ‘Darkboard.’ Only trusted people who know the password, which is known in some shady circles as ‘Is the Seer in?’ will be directed to a second room to see the more illegal ventures available.
Rules
OOC:
1. No venture can be taken via anything other than IC and through The Veil
2. Only 1 venture will be allowed to be taken at a time.
3. No one will be allowed to take more than 2 ventures a month (There is a soft cap because of the work put into it. I don’t want this to mine or anyone’s second job. If we can get more volunteers this can be raised.)
4. Requests involving another player’s character or items must have consent from said person. This also includes free company leaders consent if items inside a Free Company are used.
IC:
1. The public, legal, board is available in the main house itself. However the more illegal ventures are accessed by a password. ‘Is the Seer in?’ or any similar form will get the headnod from staff to proceed to the room containing the Darkboard.
2. A percentage of any reward is shared with ‘The Veil’ and Miriamele Nelheh ‘The Seer’ to keep the venture Board running.
How to use this board
1. Go to The Veil FC (Beds/7/40)
2. Search the board for a hunt you’d like or say the password ‘Is the Seer in?’ to get access to the Darkboard, the illegal stuff.
3. Tell a staff member you’d like to accept a hunt
4. Go out into the world and RP your hunt before the end date!
5. Come back and report your success or failure and receive your reward/conciliatory drink!
6. Take another hunt, submit your own, or wait for new hunts to be posted!
This venture board is for those seeking work and to add more flavor to people’s RP and the world around us. It is strongly encouraged that you not just accept a hunt and return a few days later saying the venture is done. Go out and roleplay in the world! Make new friends! Tell people about the newest hunt you undertook and you might find new friendships, acquaintances and rivalries blooming!

We do use discord but for requests and ideas only. If you’d like to submit something please join and toss your idea at us. Once everything is settled leave if you’d like and come back another time to toss another idea into the pile! Link!

 A small clarification - when you mention that the NPC doesn't exist (variants of the phrasing were used on a couple of the ventures), do you mean to indicate the lack of an avatar presence in the game world, or, are you meaning it in a more mysterious IC manner, such as "the conjurer's guild has no record of the supposed conjurer who placed the order for the venture", and thus the characters involved are meant to pursue clues to unravel the mystery?
