Hydaelyn Role-Players

Hello!

Just another brand new person checking in! I am about as new as it gets, too. Maybe like on Day 3. But still, I wanted to give FFXIV a shot because I heard about the lovely roleplaying community, and I do so love roleplaying.

I am new to this game, but not roleplaying in general. I've done plenty in other MMOs like Guild Wars 2, Star War The Old Republic, and a smidge just before City of Heroes closed.

I am looking for some people to help me learn the lore of this universe! I have been paying attention to the quests as I go, and I know about the wiki. But really, if I can get some in character interactions with understanding (and patient) people, I think that'll help me develop the most.

Oh, and of course, I am on the Mateus server for now! I know Balmung is where the main bunch of you guys are, but I'll have to wait until they allow me to create a character there. Mateus until then. My character is a hyur named Camilia Santos. So far, it's my only character, but that'll no doubt change in the near future.

I recommend that you take a look at the Lore section of the forum if you're wanting to learn more about the setting. Also, do the quests! They explain so much!

Hey there Santos! Welcome to Hydaelyn and the RPC! If you're looking for some lore info, I'll recommend checking out the Lore Index I have linked in my signature. (Though I recently listed off some other good sources in this post.) Sadly, I can't really help you out on the in-character front. I... (I guess ironically) ...don't play any "scholarly"-type characters. Hope this can help in any case! ^^

I'll give that section a read when I have some free time. Think I'll do a bit more questing first, just so there'll be a few less spoilers.
