Hey, everyone. I've recently come to Mateus after leaving Balmung due to some people trying to cause real life drama over the way an RP turned out.
I get that some RP may not turn out the way people expect but to be attacked OOCly about it is not very fun.

So, in saying that, I've moved to Mateus for a fresh start. Unfortunately, it was just me who moved and I lack the officers to sign the petition to start it.
My FC is a neutral ground type of FC, it welcomes all from goodie goodies to the nastiest criminals in the realm. The only rule is: no attacking other members of the FC when my character is around/on company grounds as it's neutral.
For ex. Bounty Hunter characters can't try and take in a criminal character whilst around my character or on company grounds when we get a house.
The IC reason for this, is that all are equal within the company and all are members.
The OOC reason is that I don't want to deal with drama if said example bounty hunter happens to be a power gamer or godmod. That is between those two in the example to work out.

With that said!
I'm looking for a strategist to fill one officer spot. This could be many things. A former soldier who has knowledge of battle, or perhaps a former mercenary leader.
The second spot will go to someone who has knowledge of underground situations. A type of hear all character, someone who has connections or just happens to know things they shouldn't.
The final spot is a wild card, your character can be a popoto if you really want, but they still have to follow the rules.
Aside from that, anyone else interested can send me a tell.

In game name is Gennosuke Sumire.
If I'm not around in the game or this site, I can be reached on Discord at Gen#7134 for consistent replies.
Thanks all. o/
I have to say, it's not a good idea to fill officers for IC reasons. If you are looking for officers to help you with running the fc, look for active people with good heads on their shoulders. Don't 'recruit' officers and don't look for officers for ic purposes. It's a bad idea. I say this from experience.

I totally get what you mean, but I have no contacts. I'm on this server more or less alone in terms of friends.
I've tried recruiting in shout chat in the game plus interviews and what not.
This post was my last way of trying to figure this out.
I get that taking people at face value can be shifty because some people aren't who they say, but I've tried most, if not everything else. No one has expressed interest in game or in my personal life, so I was hoping this could work, even if it's not the safest way of going about it, you know?
I get what you mean. My advise would be to take things slow. If you are just starting off, you don't need several officers. Heck you don't even need an officer if you are a fresh FC. You can run if by yourself if it's sub 10 people. Just find 10 cool rpers who share a vision with you and just rp and hangout with them. Eventually you'll be able to spot the ones who you know will be good officer material and you can ask them if they'd be interested. This is just anecdotal, but the WORST officers I've had are the ones who ask me to promoted to officers. There are just some who people are naturally drawn to and are active community members, without needing a rank. Those are the people you want to look for.

Yeah that's very true.
I'll just try getting into a linkshell first and get a few more contacts, I was just a bit impatient since I had an FC on Balmung and that went to crap.
But I'll just look into more contacts before I start properly.
Thank you. Big Grin
Recruitment starts out slow in FC's. Joining an FC that hasn't yet established itself is an investment and a gamble, and a lot of people aren't willing to do that. You have to just keep trying until you find people who will give it a chance, and will be patient enough to stick around more than a week. Pulling strangers from outside the FC straight into an officer position is running the risk of getting people who are just power hungry and have no actual ties to your FC (and has all the inherent problems of you not getting to know and vet them well first), and will likely annoy any current members you have. If you don't have enough current members to pull officers from your own membership, then you also don't have enough members to wrangle that you need to appoint officers, I'd say just starting out you could use one officer at most to help. You can get anyone to help sign a FC petition; you don't have to make those people your officers, or even keep them in the FC.

Not necessarily related, but the "FC members can't attack each other when I'm around" rule seems a bit off. I get that you want to avoid the IC and OOC drama with in-fighting, I guess I just don't know how the physical proximity of your character would effect that? Even if your avatar isn't there next to them, even if you aren't online when it happens, if IC drama spills into OOC people will still expect you as the FC leader to handle it, and rightfully so.
