II. RP Style
  • Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):
Medium. I don't RP as much as I once did and I'm very easygoing with OOC interactions, but the more RP I can get, the better.

  • Views on RP combat and injuries:
Consent required for any injuries, no matter how small! For example, if my character's leg gets sliced in a fight, I must be the one to state that fact, not the opponent, unless previously agreed upon beforehand (i.e., I've played with the other many times and trust them completely). RP combat poses should always be open ended, and ideally, each player should balance both combat based advantages and disadvantages for their character in every single pose.
Sounds a bit strict? Had some not so great experiences. I'm actually pretty good about going with the flow, especially when conflict arises spontaneously from an unplanned situation. And I don't have a hate-on for people who out-RP their character's OOC level and experiences. The above description is an ideal/hopeful situation.

  • Views on IC romance: It's going to get rebuffed by me at this point, so if that's your goal and you'll be disappointed, best not to bring it up. Fine with other people doing whatever they like, although Qhora may express IC disgust, it doesn't bother me.

  • Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): All RP is good RP!

  • Views on lore: I find myself more drawn to characters whose players have obviously done extensive lore research, but I'm pretty easygoing as far as going with the flow where lorebreaking characters and situations are concerned. Lorebreaking might make me raise some eyebrows, but it won't prevent me from roleplaying generally.

  • Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc):
All chat functions are IC unless designated otherwise! Actually, I tend to fall OOC when the grand majority of other speakers in the channel are also OOC, i.e. in duty found party chat and /shout. I used to be quite skilled in speaking in a way that could be construed as both IC and OOC, and am hoping to redevelop that, since I've let it fall away in recent years. (()) indicates OOC speak for me in any given channel.
