(Before we get underway this is my first forum rp so be gentle Laugh. To make matters slightly more challenging I am gonna experiment with a different method all together and will now explain it. From what I have seen most of the RP's have direct interaction with the users character, however in this RP people will not be interacting with my character but rather begin to create opinions, assumptions and a vast variety of things based on things they hear ranging from taverns and guards to things they see such as articles regarding my characters actions. People are free to interact with each other and talk about what they know and speculate on things that may occur. Ultimately this RP will kinda try to make you unravel the kind of person my character is without actually meeting him and will just have deduce it based on information from various sources. Kind of hope I explained it well enough, any and all OOC critiques and comments are welcome, just make sure they are put in parenthesis like this. Also once in game RP's start occurring the events of what go down there may also make it on here. So without further ado lets get started.)

It is a quiet and cool night in the city of Ul'Dah, and tucked away into a corner of the city is fair sized tavern where individuals of all sorts gather. In the tavern among all the guests are two who are sitting at a table who appear to be distraught and perhaps fearful.

Distraught Man1: "You heard what happened to Jan right?" said the man with a slight shiver in his voice.

Distraught Man 2: "Are you kidding me everyone from pickpockets to gang leaders know what happened to him and with good reason" the second said with a tinge of anger and then continued "Not only was his crew slaughtered but so were buyers. The gil and arms were taken and above all Jan was impaled right onto a wall by a Garlean flag" the man finished with anxiety now building up in his voice.

Distraught Man 1: "What are we going to do!!" the man said in a loud panicked voice.

Distraught Man 2: "Quiet don't make a scene" the second said in a fierce yet hushed voice

Distraught Man1: "We had strong tie to Jan if the persons or person who did that find out we knew and in fact did business with him it could be ending up pinned to a wall" he said in a quieted voice now but still in a panic. "We should just go to the guard and have them protect us or send us to jail or something that will keep us away from whatever may be coming".

Distraught Man 2: "No!" said the man now raising his own voice slightly "I will not run to the guards just because Jan got unlucky. Listen we should leave the city tonight, I have a few contacts up north, they can help us lay low until this situation resolves itself, now get up and lets go we may have attracted more attention than need be."

Both men got up and quickly left the tavern with slight jogged to their step. Once gone the patrons who took notice of the men and perhaps overheard the conversation try to wrap their heads around what has occurred.
It is another bustling day in the streets of Ul'Dah with people of all sorts going about their lives, and is as usual extremely busy where all the markets are at. Among the people two city guards are patrolling the streets looking for thieves and pickpockets and talk while doing so.
Guard 1: "Patrol found two corpses just out the city this morning, seems like those two had criminal ties and had a connection with Jan" said the guard with an unchanging attitude.

Guard 2: "They were probably the smugglers we were after, hah well whoever killed them did us a favor, not we can focus on external problems rather than internal ones" the guard said in a slightly relieved voice.

Guard 1: "Did you forget" the guard said in a more hushed voice and continued "A Garlean flag was left at one the scenes earlier last night, there is a good chance Garleans are trying to take over all the criminal rings and send the resources back to the empire."

Guard 2: "If that was the case wouldn't they want to remain in the shadows instead of announcing their presence in such a grand way? If you ask me this seems like a case of misdirection, everyone is looking left while they should be looking right"

Guard 1: "Well if it is not Garleans then we probably don't need to worry and like you said whatever did this certainly aids in helping us focus on the real threats. Hopefully whatever persons or person is doing this doesn't decide to stir up more trouble than its worth." said the guard jokingly

Guard 2: "Hah I hear that, well considering we are all soldiers I don't think we are at any risk. Well that about covers this area lets make a quick check on the immortal flames and then be on our way"

Both soldiers continue on their patrol striking up nothing else but pointless and whimsical banter.
Darien leaned back against a wall, stuffing a muffin into his mouth and getting crumbs everywhere. He narrowed his eyes and stared at the guards as they walked by.

"Mrt zh frnk?" he says to himself as they pass out of earshot. He gulps down the last bite of muffin, then begins musing out loud, stroking his chin. "Garlean flags? And doing the guards' job for them. Vigilantes? I like vigilantes. It couldn't actually be the Empire. Could it?" Darien cracks his knuckles. "That'd be even better," he says with a smirk as he brushes the crumbs off his shirt and heads down the street in the opposite direction of the way the guards went.
Near the gates to Ul'Dah a merchant is argues with the captain of the patrol concerning the outer wall's of Ul'Dah. Out in the distance out in the distance a smoke plum can be seen.

Wealthy Merchant: "I demand you find the vandal responsible for the destruction of my merchandise!" said the merchant in a loud and angry voice.

Captain: "Would you mind telling me why my patrol should investigate this when there are other matters that take priority" said the captain in a less than thrilled voice.

Wealthy Merchant: "That merchandise was worth more gil than a simpleton like you could comprehend! might i add that the funds received would have directly benefited our fair city, the destruction of that merchandise is an attack on  Ul'Dah itself!" the merchant was now clearly distraught and getting angrier. "If you do nothing ill make sure the syndicate hears of this."

Captain: Without so much as batting an eyelash the Captain responds "Go ahead and tell them but mind you I would have a few things to tell them as well which may not be very beneficial to you."

Wealthy Merchant: He quickly quiets down and looks at the captain half cautiously and worriedly  "What do you mean"

Captain: "Well you see I did have my troops examine the caravan of supplies or what was left and low and behold the shipping manifest remained untouched. Now while there were normal supplies there were most definitely products on that manifest with questionable legality, but that is not all the size of the caravan and number of products did not match. Anyone can deduce you are making more than your letting on and hiding money from the syndicate is not a wise choice. So here is what we will do, we forget this happened and go our separate ways, my advice stay on the straight and narrow or whomever did this may take more than just profit from you next time."

Wealthy Merchant: The merchant said not a word but simply grumbled and went on his way now more fearful than angry.

Captain: The captain breathed a sigh of relief now that the hassle was gone but he did think strange happenings have been occurring within Ul'Dah lately and they may in fact be connected. He decided to double up the patrols something was lurking in the shadows whose was while appearing to be good was still unclear
It is a fair day in Limsa Lominsa, the ports are as busy as every and the people are just as busy being apart of a port city. The sea is also just perfect for sailing so there is more productivity than usual. All is going well in the city and as the day begins to turn to night things slow down and many take a chance to look at the beautiful sea illuminated in such a unique way that night due to the moons positioning. The peace of that day would soon be shattered, slowly but surely a tint of red can be seen approaching, what was causing it the people were not sure for it was hidden beyond a cove. They looked on in anticipation and slight anxiety... Just then it came into sight. It was 3 ships all of which were set ablaze, they were ships of grand size and no doubt a grand crew. The people upon seeing this went into a panic believing it to be a Garlean attack, the Malestrom quickly mobilized its troops to patrol the surrounding areas for Garlean forces.  Just then another horror unfolded, what was thought to be debris falling from the ships were actually people set ablaze falling to the ocean to escape the flames grasp. The troops of the Maelstrom were able to rescue a few survivors but could do nothing about the ships but let the blaze run its course. When the survivors were questioned two things were discovered, One, it was one person who committed such devastation upon them. Two, they were not the most honorable sort of folk but nothing to the degree of punishment by death. Whoever committed this act has drawn a very thin line for innocence and guilt.

(With servers now running better now things are only gonna pick up, much of what is here I will refer to or may be referred to when IC. This will help create more depth when others RP with me as they already have preordained assumptions. There will be plenty more to come and things may eventually get out of hand so look forward to it and thanks for reading and in the future continuing to read XD)
A WoodWailers patrol group returns to Gridania and along with them is a is an Elezen female, a duskwight no less. The woodwailers look clearly distraught but it is the duskwight who upon looking closer is covered in blood and is speaking frantically and loudly.

Duskwight: "Hahahaha it was only a matter of time before someone began to clean up this world" the elezen said in a cynical yet frantic tone

Woodwailer1: "Quiet that is quite enough out you!!!" the wailer said angry voice

Woodwailer2: "You have spoken nothing but that gibberish ever since we found you" said another wailer in an exhausted and annoyed voice.

Duskwight: "Gibberish? I merely speak the cause of The Arbiter that Hydaelyn has chosen!!!" the Elezen said in a still frantic but now enthusiastic voice and continued "He has dedicated himself to the preservation of our world and heal its wounds that we ourselves have caused it!!!!"

Woodwailer 1: "Keep your voice down and hold that heretical tongue of yours!" the woodwailer said in increasing anger and continued " Who would choose someone to commit acts of such violence, not even the crystal itself would ever choose one such individual!!"

Woodwailer Captain: "Calm yourself soldier we are all tired of this endeavor and womens ramblings, no need to fuel the fire" said the captain in an authoritative voice.

Woodwailer 1: "Yes sir" the woodailer said in a resigned yet still resenting voice"

Woodwailer 2: "Tch Arbiter of Hydaelyn, what nonsense, just another nuisance like the Garleans and primals"

Duskwight: Now speaking in a more ominous and calm voice " They are not the only nuisances in Hydaelyn that threaten its well being, there are nuisances all around us, The Arbiter will see to it that all is purged and the planet is healed. In due time you will understand hahahaha" the women laughed maniacally.

Feeling somewhat wary of the womens words the woodwailers spoke with her no further and quickly brought her to the Twin Adder Hq as well as quickly filed a report regarding the events of the patrol something that will be placed in classified records until further notice.

(Just for clarification The Arbiter is a title in itself and no way implies that some godly force has chosen me, it is just a moniker my character will be referred to and is referred to by both fanatics based on my actions and the people who have heard the fanatics speak of me. hope you enjoyed)
On a wall not exactly out of view but not necessarily publicly displayed in the city state of Gridania is a paper with a symbol of unknown origin that is rather discomforting to say the least

The first thread of discord has been sown. There is talk among citizens, guards, politicians and nobles alike in hushed and somewhat fearful voices of a village whose location is undisclosed at the time. Something amiss and foul has occurred, from what information was gathered among the myriad of speculation and rumors here are the facts that everyone seems to agree on. First, all residents of that village are dead, Two, there was no indication of Garlean, beastmen, bandits or any sort of combat taking place. Three, and possibly the most confusing and mysterious part is that based on examination of the bodies it would seem all of the residents had their aether drained from their bodies and seems to be the cause of their deaths. Many are worried, an entire village gone without so much as a whimper and no one knows how or why it happened, perhaps it was only a one time thing? no many believed and were fearful this was just a prelude. A prelude to what? only time will tell.

(Hello hope you all are enjoying this, If you all wish to try and deduce what occurred here feel free to post a reply and chat among yourselves IC. There will def be more regarding what happened and other things will also happen as well so make sure to stick around cause eventually this information will be useful for when you rp with me or with people regarding some of the things that have been going on)
