A hyur man steps into the bar, making his way up to the bar. He stands fairly tall for one of that race. His hair is dark, almost black. Strapped to his back is a shield, a blade at his side. He scans the room briefly before addressing the barkeep.

"What can this get me?" he says as he slides him a coin. The barkeep takes the coin and leans down under the bar, starting to prepare his drink. Vareli turns back and scans the bar again, noting the different people in the bar.

"The number of adventurers increases across the realm everyday..." he mumbles to himself. A slight tug on the corner of his tunic draws his attention back to the barkeep, his hand instinctively reaching for a hidden dagger near his belt. The barkeep nods at him, presenting the drink he had ordered. He takes the drink, thanking him as he steps toward the tables, sitting himself at an empty on near the corner of the room, back to the wall.

"Wonder if there is any work to be found around here..." he thinks to himself.
Aartur took note of Kie's beckoning to the carbuncle. With a discreet motion with his hand, Aartur nodded to the creature, which hops off his shoulders, onto the table, and weaved its way carefully past dishes and mugs toward the other Miqo'te, stopping a few centimetres short of her hand.

Yayaan, the little Lalafell, nodded up to the woman before getting out of his seat, "Good luck, then, with your studies. As for me, I must be off. I have some business to attend to, pleasure meeting you all." With little more than a nod to the table, the Dunesfolk left the tavern, leaving poor Aartur alone with these new people.

Aartur, for his part, blinked at the leaving Lalafell and sighed as he disappeared from view, looking back to the Elezen woman, "That's... um... rather fascinating, perhaps sometime, you could... um... attempt my fortune?"

Kieaira payed no attention to the disappearing Lalafell, nor did she really notice anything else, her gaze fixated on the shiny carbuncle as it moved closer, a half-smile creeping across her lips. She wiggled her fingers to try and entice it just a bit closer so she could attempt touching it, her curiosity running wild with all sorts of ideas of what one of these things would feel like.

Again she made a few more chittering noises, her ears laying back in anticipation, she almost looked like an animal getting ready to pounce on her prey, her long white tail flittering back and forth between the hole in the chair that she sat upon.
The little carbuncle advances a few steps to nuzzle Kie's hand carefully, its luminescent fur soft to the touch. Its master, Aartur, seems to be at least a bit more at ease, now, "Erm... don't worry, he won't bite. He isn't even in combat most of the time... more of a lookout for me..." he said, letting a small smile cross his face.
Kieaira's ears perked right up once the carbuncle moved closer, allowing her to pet him. Her eyes widened with obvious joy ... she was a sucker for cute things, but then again aren't most girls? She gently slid her fingers through the soft fur, her smile widening enough to see the tips of her pointed canines, and she seemed, for once, to be completely calm and relaxed.

Slowly she leaned back in the chair and moved her hand to pat at her lap, hoping the carbuncle would jump down and curl up in her lap, so she could continue to pet the small creature while the others conversed.
Elisan nodded politely to the departing lalafel and returned her attention to Aartur's question. "I would do that, any time you wish, yes" She patted the small dark pouch that sat on the table with its slightly square shape. A moment's pause to watch the little carbunkle meander across the table toward Kie and the witch smiled, giving Aartur a subtle nod of approval at the gesture.
The carbuncle looks back at Aartur, as if asking approval. Aartur gives a little nod, and the creature hop into Kieaira's lap. It's somewhat on the small side compared to other carbuncle summons, and seems rather lightweight. Slowly, it curls up and settles down atop Kie's legs.

Turning back to Elisan, Aart gave a timid smile, "That would be quite interesting, I think... What sort of things do you predict?"
Elisan thought for a moment before answering. "It isn't so much about prediction, as it is about guidance. The threads of fate are many and our choices often dictate which path we will take and also, what lay at the end of it. Direct prediction is a tricky game. Generally, the most simple observation of the cards is enough and gives  the one seeking answers plenty to think on. Telling people what they want to hear is for charlatans. There is a time and a place for that, mind, but I am not often one to do it."
Kieaira's mouth opened and her hands raised up to her shoulders, balled into little fists and she looked like she was about to squee with delight, but stopped herself at the last second so as not to scare the little carbuncle that was now curled up in her lap.

Slowly, she lowered her hands, resting on upon the carbuncles head, gently rubbing between its' ears as she shifted her attention to those around her. It seemed she had succeeded in not being bombard with anymore questions, that paired with the soft creature had calmed her nerves.

She took the time now to regard the rest, eyes moving from Aartur to Elisan as they spoke, and then over to where Ryan had been, frowning slightly as she had missed his exit, then to Baer who had been busily munching and drinking (Which she assumed he still was doing), glancing then to where the Lalafell had been, again she frowned ... another departure missed. You're doing great at this whole making friends things...  Her gaze then moving around the tavern, taking note of the various people who were busy about their business, including that of another Hyur man who was alone. (Vareli)

She would have liked to invite him to join their conversation, but she was far too shy to approach, so instead she just shifted her attention back to the little creature she had quickly grown a fondness for. It's so much easier making friends with furry little creatures like you.  She thought, gazing down at the carbuncle and smiling.
The carbuncle seems to relax at the petting, settling down, though it's eyes remain open the whole time. Aartur smiles kindly towards the creature, though it is only a short glance at it and could be mistaken for smiling at anything in that direction. He seems to have also relaxed, looking back to the Elezen, "In any case, it would be interesting... How much... do you normally charge?"
The large man did notice the Miqo'te paying attention to him for a moment until the focus was redrawn somewhere else. Mainly towards Aartur, his Carbuncle and Elisan. At this point he zoned out. Going into his own little world for awhile. Mind wandering back and forth between past and present as he let the food he just consumed digest a bit. Closing his eyes to breath in the new day and let out the old; an old tradition for him. What may or may not have bothered him the day before is now gone-and everything else is new. Alive. Beautiful!

At this point a large smile was the only thing they could see on his face. Making him look beyond youthful, could say juvenile! Opening his bright blue eyes to look at them all in turn. Which now Kie had begun to pet and play with Aarturs Carbuncle, while Aartur kept a going conversation with Elisan. The strange sooth-sayer'esque woman. And someone was missing...that Lalafell!

I guess he left...Didin't even get to say goodbye! Oh well.

He thought quietly to himself as he leaned back in his chair. Spending some time looking around the bar at this point as he was not going to jump into Aarturs and Elisans conversation-and Kie needed a break in his mind from being asked questions. Since she came off even more skittish then a cornered jackrabbit. Tilting his head to the side as he peered about the excessively populated bar slowly.
She lifted a shoulder noncommittally at Aartur's question. "I typically ask only for what the seeker deems it's worth".  Carefully, she opened the pouch and produced a strange deck of cards. These she offered to Aartur. "You know how to shuffle cards? If so, shuffle them until you feel you're done. Otherwise, just hold them a moment". A faint smile, glancing toward Kie and the carbunkle, the highlander who seemed to be meditating and then she noticed that at some point Ryan had slipped off. Her attention returned to Aartur then as she waited for the deck to be returned.
Kieaira seemed content with a smile on her face as she pet the carbuncle, though for a brief instant her entire demeanor changed, her ears lay flat, her eyes widened and the smile slipped from her face, even her hand paused from the slow stroking motion. Surely the carbuncle would notice the sudden change, but as soon as it came it went, and only those with a really good eye would notice. Something had been said that caught her attention but what exactly, would remain unanswered, as her smile returned and she brought her attention back to the carbuncle, her mind drifting into random thoughts once more.
Aartur shuffles the deck, handing it carefully back to the Elezen, "Like that?" he said before turning his head toward Kei, sensing something briefly amiss by way of his summon. By the time he looks over, nothing seems to be wrong, though, so his attention diverts back to the fortune teller and her cards as little Kyubey the carbuncle settles back down.
One of the few things was that Baer was in a contemplative and observant mood-which lead to him noticing the nearby 'Lander who approached the bar. (Whom is Vareli) Then the fact that the other 'Lander had left their table. Not sure when, just like the Lalafell. Assuming it happened while he was trapped within his own thoughts.

Turning his head just within the small frame of time where Kie had looked over into nowhere and become rather...fearful looking? The crimson haired man had no clue, but he wasn't one to not ask in a situation like this. "Is everything okay?" Voice kind like before, but a bit of concern in his voice.
