II. RP Style 

• Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy):
  

• I can range from light to medium on a given day, and depending what the RP session calls for. I consider myself more of a casual RPer, and I am still fresh to the scene but its coming along well. 
  
  
• Views on RP combat and injuries:
  

• Since Booker will be a trained Warrior and Monk, I can be up for combat RP. But it has to have a reason to justify a fight, as he learned restraint from being a Monk.
  
  
• Views on IC romance:
  

• All for it. Nothing better than a good romance story to flow into with some good RP. Booker is a casual flirt, so its bound to happen.
  
  
• Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc):
  

• Haven't really thought about this one to much, but I wouldn't mind trying something. 
  
  
• Views on lore:
  

• I may not be heavily based into the lore, but I wont break it either. (IE: Defeating primals single handedly, ect.) I try to keep it within the realm if possible.

Hey, Booker.

How're the kids these day?

Shouldn't post that man, spoilers and what not  - But funny.

Fix'd. I'm just wondering... why? Did you just like the name and decide you wanted to use it for your character or are you actually playing like he's 'the' Booker Dewitt and...

^ That is fucking brilliant, but no. I did not want to mash Bioshock and FF together. I just really couldnt see him meshing well that way. I like the name though, strong name and rolls off the tongue well.

I'm inclined to agree, but you could think up an original name with to similar results. Speaking personally, I'd look at someone using the name 'Booker Dewitt' the same way I'd look at someone using 'Legolas Theelf" or 'Mickey Mouse.'

Booker here is a fine roleplayer and his name has not effected this.

I'm going to vouch for him as well guys.  I do know where your coming from regarding the name, but he's not pulling anything from the Bio Shock universe into his RP, and he doesn't act like Booker from that game either.  I know that sometimes it's hard to look past these kinds of things in game, but it hasn't stopped him from contributing quality interactions with other players here.

I do just want to say that I haven't made any remarks about his abilities as a roleplayer as that's not really the point here. All I'm saying is that I would find it difficult to roleplay with someone using the name of a character from another game. I know there's a ton of it going on and SE has bigger problems, but isn't it actually against the EULA?

Yes, it is against the EULA:

• Naming Right. You may not use any name or other intellectual property belonging to SQUARE ENIX or any other third party in your use of the Game (for example, naming a character after a celebrity, company, product, or superhero).

 WTF why is that even in the EULA? On Balmung alone I've seen more violations of that addendum than can be counted on human digits. Seems SE is making NO effort to police that one.

Aww c'mon guys can we drop the name discussion or take it to a thread of its own. The guy is fresh on the scene and doesn't need all this in his character directory thread. I suggest the EULA and naming policy should be discussed in another thread.

Oh my, haha. This thread has blown up. But yes, anyways I do not bring any Bioshock references into FFXIV. Quite honestly, it could even be my RL name is another reason that I could of picked it. But I have been doing fine in the RP scene, and no one has complained yet. If anything, SE may make me change it. If so, I will be saddened. 

But yes, lets end the thread about my name and move it to another. Thank you.
