Hey there, welcome to FFXIV! I hope you'll like it here! Big Grin You'll find the most RP on either Balmung or Gilgamesh.

Balmung would be your best bet!

If you're looking for a Miqo'te styled guild following the Keeper lore, feel free to check out http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread....7#pid67457

We're active and small.

:3 We also always help our new members.

I hope you enjoy FFXIV regardless!
As Naih said above, Balmung is indeed your best bet.
We're very active, and we have very large and fun events.

I'm headmaster of Ul'Dah Garden, one of the three branching academies in the cities!
We're a group of rpers that engage in school/military like activity! Lots of fun people, friends and more.

Many of us are allies to various other Companies so you're bound to meet plenty of people.

Feel free to add me in game! - Ventus Zeruel
Hello and welcome! Always happy to see new faces around here.

Along with the ones mentioned above, you can find a number of Linkshells to join a the Linkshell Hall. You can even sort by server! Please note that we're undergoing a bit of clean-up in the area, so not all of the Linkshells listed are currently active. It should be tidied up soon, though!

As to your lore question, there's lots of information here in the RP Discussion board. A quick search should help you find what you need, but for a sort of repository you can check out the Lore section in the Role-Play Handbook as well as the RPC Wiki.

I hope you enjoy yourself with this wonderful community!

Hello and welcome to the RPC Zathe!

S'anhu touched on a few of the key points of the RPC, so i'll just throw in that a good place to meet people out of character (if you decide to roll on Balmung) would be:
http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=1902
An out of character linkshell focused on getting people together, meeting new ones and all that fun stuff. On its third iteration you're sure to find some one here you'd like to meet in person.

The Gilgamesh version is:

I noticed you ran the bench mark and would like to add that its score as an example is decent but not ideal, and that due to a few reasons, including the HD4000s status as onboard (hence no VRam) you should make sure to have shadows and terrain effect eliminated those being some of the bigger resource hogs. I highly recommend retaining some particle effects. (This mainly due to some abilities from enemies being telecasted via sparklies/glows ect, and not always a giant red outline.)

Hope you both have the chance to meet a lot of interesting people in Eorzea, and if you ever see me running about feel free to say hello! Chocobo
