I really hate to post a "plz halp me" thread, but I've had it!

On the screenshot thread there are a few posts where you see images in the post. If you scroll the mouse over the image, the arrow icon will turn into a magnifying glass. If you click it, the image will enlarge.

How do I do this?

I've tried the "insert an image" Icon. That makes it so the image has to be really small to fit into the post. You have to specify width and height (which is like a guessing game!).

I've tried the attachment system. The image can't be bigger than 500kb. If it is, it will not let me attach it. If I re-size an image to be 500kb it is too small to see any details.

I don't see any tutorials, or how-to links on this site at all. Am I blind?

I will greatly appreciate any assistance. I'm sorry for adding a thread like this to the forums, but I see no other options

Edit: I found help links, but none of them tell me how to post images that can be zoomed or enlarged. I must be missing something

you can host your pic on imgur.com, then put in the direct file url of the pic using the "Insert image" option (it'll look something like http://i.imgur.com/abcd.jpg)
