Hydaelyn Role-Players

Hello, I am seeking people to join in a ongoing RP event centering around the activities of a criminal syndicate based out of Ul'dah. My character Natalie is a Sultanswon on special detachment to deal with crimes that are outside of the scope of normal law enforcement. However she has possibly gotten too deeply involved, and I am looking for some fresh badges to put the heat on the bad guys. I am looking for 2-3 lawful Sultansworn/Brass Blades/Flame Officers, or other lawbringers. You will be investigating the Syndicate, and my character as well, trying to figure out their activities, and if Natalie has been corrupted. If you agree, you will be provided with a list of contacts, and can start your investigation from there. 

Please be aware, this is not a cops and robbers type game. The object is less to kill or imprison the other side, and more to create tension and drama. Investigators should do their best to proceed without making the syndicate as a whole aware that they are being investigated at all. Feel free to create a twisting web of alliances, friends and enemies as you try to get the scope of this criminal empire. 

There are roughly 10-15 people involved with the syndicate in some way (I nor my character know the exact size) and this RP has no set plot or goal, but has evolved organically over the past few days from a single idea. The idea is not to win or lose, but to create more drama, mystery, romance, and tension, and by extension make Ul'dah an exciting and compelling place to RP in. The only rules are do not kill/maim/permanently imprison other characters without their permission, and to respect the choices of others. 

I have not told anyone else involved that I am making this posting, but everyone I have uncovered so far has been quite good at improvising, so this shouldn't be an issue. However if you enter the RP in a rude/hamfisted manner or otherwise seem to disregard the basic rules of RP, don't be surprised if characters do not seek to involve you in their stories.

In case you need a better idea, here is text dump of a a recent event my character had with a member of the syndicate who she has possibly gotten too close to. None of it was planned, and it is the conclusion of a roughly 3 hour event, that was started with roughly 2 sentences of information. Names have been changed.

Is it just for the officers or can someone as lowly as me attend with permission and orders from my boss? ;-;

When will the event take place?

Ahhh, Don't worry about the rank. As long as you want to be involved we can work something out. 

Also it's less an event and more a setting. If you want to get involved, just /tell me in game, (Natalie Mcbeef) and we can meet and discuss the situation. If afterwards, you are interested in the setting, you can proceed however you like. There is almost always at one thing going on in at all times, so If you do get involved, you won't have to look far for stuff to do.

As someone playing an Ul'dahn villain, I've got to give enormous kudos to Natalie here. Before I met her, I'd occasionally make references to the Sultansworn or Brass Blades in C's RP. Now I have to worry about turning around and seeing Nat, notepad in hand, waiting to ask more questions about some discrepancies in C's latest alibi.

I will second C'kayah's recommendation.  Natalie's Sultansworn investigator is very enjoyable to RP with.  Roen did not enjoy getting interrogated by her, like at all.
