The Players of Lansquenet cordially invite you to join us for an evening of entertainment and romance as we perform...

Canticles of Love
An adaptation of Lord Avon's most popular stories of the Princess and the Thief.

The event will be held in Ward 3 of the Lavender Beds at 7pm (EST) on 02/09.

All attendees must be accompanied by a date. Guests arriving alone will be paired off by the esteemed matchmakers of Lansquenet.*

If you intend to participate in the matchmaking, please dress accordingly; Lansquenet will use the colour of your shirt to determine your preference for your date. A red shirt will indicate preference for a male date, a white shirt will indicate preference for a female date, and a pink shirt will indicate that anyone will do.
*Please note that these are only party dates to ensure full participation in the event, and the matchmakers of Lansquenet make no guarentee of genuine romance, attraction, trysts or otherwise, and disclaim all responsibility for any subsequent woe or heartbreak.

Party events for couples will be held before the performance, and details are to come.

When the night sky wears the moon as its pendant,
We shall await you at the dock.
This sounds rather brilliant and I think I might actually be able to attend this one!

Thank you! We look forward to seeing you there.
This won't alter whether I will attend or not, but I can only image that if many turn up, or even a fair few turn up, won't the chat log get ridiculously crowded?
I'm quite a new RPer to FF, but already I've discovered that it can feel impossible to keep up with everything.
Is it recommended that emotes between couples be kept within private channels, so that parts of the performance are not drowned out by other emotes?
If not, then it I suppose it doesn't matter too much.Dazed

/say actually has a pathetically short range, and the Beds are big enough that dates can space out without overlapping too much.

We've scoped out the venue with this in mind, and the performance will be held in /yell so that it won't be drowned out.
Sorry for replying actively, I know that can get a bit irritating when the same person replies over and over.

Totally forgot about that, actually. Played a lot of GW2 and that was on the contrary with the /s range, which was gargantuan. In any case, I suppose I'll see when it happens. Thank you for the reply.
It was actually a bit odd to go from the GW2 /say range to the FFXIV range. Our first performance we had to scout out our venue just to figure out how close the audience would have to sit for a play performed in /say.

Yeah. It's incredibly awkward. Though I recall GW2's culling being a nightmare as well, then they removed it and I was seeing conversations from across the entire area which was arguably worse.

This event looks fun, anyway! Might attend if I can get the time zones right.
Oh, and just as a clarification: those attending should feel free to bring a significant other of their own! Your character being married or in a relationship is no obstacle to attending, but it does mean you can skip actually being paired off with another audience member. And heck, even if your BLM just wants to go along with their good friend CUL who they'd never want to actually date in a million years, we won't judge!

But on the same token, you can definitely expect to have some fun times if you come alone.
This sounds like fun. Thank you for throwing this!
What if I want to bring two dates? *Greedy* =X
Or more! Don't go hatin' on the Seeker heart! Big Grin
We'll think of something for you lovebirds, too, worry not.
A reminder that this event is coming up in about a week!
