Hydaelyn Role-Players

My character has been stuck (pretty much since launch) and I last left him studying to be a conjurer and failing.  I signed him up for that class.  This is exciting and something I have been hoping for since launch. 

Khior'a is also a plant gatherer with botany, unfortunately I am at work IRL during all of the posted time or I would join (curse of living PST).

There'll be only one class a week, and the date and time will be chosen to accommodate as many attendees as possible. Please choose the best times for you. ^_^

“Battlefield First Response Training” presented by chirurgeon and physicker Daphine Rysen.
 
This class will be held at (( to be announced : Doodle: Yes or tentative yeses, all times that apply)) in (( likely outside of Limsa or Ul’dah, if not in the cities themselves.)).
 
This class will cover subjects such as field triage, alchemical aids and mending techniques to ensure the best possible outcome for an injured ally that is outside the immediate reach of a healer or medic. Supplies will be provided for practice purposes if they are so desired. 
 
Our tentative topics of discussion for now are:

• Triage:Know when to say wait.
  
• Potions: Something for every ailment.
  
• Under Pressure: A guide to stopping the flow of blood.
  
• Stabilize:  Setting and immobilizing limbs.
  
• Shock: Dealing with trauma.
  
  
  

Other discussion topics may be included or removed as needed. If there is something specific you would like to go over, please see me and I’d be happy to work with you.
 
While I can offer some advice into healing via the Arcanum,this class will not be touching on those techniques.
 
This class is recommended for all ability levels.
 
 
OOC giblets:
 
Unless there is a large demand, I think this class will be offered twice a month. I’d be willing to work one-one with characters as needed if they’re looking for a mentor on the road to developing a more traditional doctor/medic/surgeon versus a straight up healer.
 
A little disclaimer:
The information that will be presented will be largely adapted from techniques used in real life. The only ties I hold to the medical profession are ten years of first aid and CPR certification, a paramedic/cop father, a love for medical textbooks, Google, Untold Stories of the ER and lotsa RP!
 
In other words: I am not a doctor, I just play one on TV.  
 
Though I encourage everyone to certify in first aid and CPR…you could save a life.

Just want to remind the instructors that some of their chosen (and pending dates) are approaching. When you feel ready for it, please write down the ultimate chosen day for your first class.

I am only available after 6:30 pm PST M-F, which makes it more difficult for most people in EU or EST.  Though I am available almost all times on Saturday and Sunday.

First Lancer Lessons will be tomorrow, the 8th, starting at 4pm PST. Anyone who wants to attend at that time, please meet at the Lancer's guild. Even if you haven't signed up, you can still attend. There are no requirements for this first lesson. Just be there.

Yay!  This just made my day.  I'm excited

Kiht's first Lancer class was very fun! I had lots of laughs playing the part of the troublesome rebel pupil^^ I hope to see more apprentices next time!

Signed on both Botany and Conjury. I can't wait for classes to start!

BADASS-  I mean, pugilist courses will be Sat. & Sun, 4-6 PM PDT.

I'll be holding two this weekend instead of one, as there's only be one sign-up and I want to leave some leeway time-wise if anyone else wants to join in.

That was a lot of fun! Thank you for bringing Luc'a too. The dynamic between the two men was very well done, and hilarious at times.

A curious Lalafell scholar came to the previous lesson, and said he was sent by the Twin Adder to oversee, and act as a healer if needed. He watched for quite a while. Another mysterious stranger watched from the guild porch.

I would prefer more students, but anyone who wants to come to the lessons and interact as a background character is free to do so as long as they aren't being disruptive.

Oh, um... This is embarrassing  but my curiosity brought me to check your doodles and.. it seems that both the links you provided (and that I faithfully pasted on the Opening Post) lead to the CNJ class doodle. The doodle for THM was never provided...!

So it's possible that some of those who clicked on the "fake" THM link did mistakenly sign up for CNJ instead.

Personally I have no characters entering the world of Thaumaturgy, but who knows, maybe someone did indeed sign up for it^^.
