His relationship with them is strictly personal. We've had a couple little fights about ethics and morality. (Like sacrificing Osric to Jin'li at the time)

Franz isn't looking to counter evil, or prevent the nice psychopaths at the Red Wings from doing so. But if the gil's good, he could be tempted one way or the other. ...No attachment to save a country that your people are/were trying to take over by any means.
