No? Well, how unfortunate. Luckily, there's a Secret Santa Delivery for you! Wanna know what it is? Do you really want one? Then you'll just have to give one too.

That's right folks. Secret Santa, a paper pusher's worst nightmare, has come to Sanctus Refero.

We'll take your name, place it into a pool, then release your assignments!

If any of you don't know how Secret Santa works, well, it's a secret. So be quiet. >:|

But there's a bonus even still! Here's the deal:

-When you give your present, include a small message. When Alona or I deliver that gift, we will recite your message.

Your giftee will then have 3 guesses as to who their benefactor is (roleplay, of course). If they can guess within in their 3 chances, they'll get a special gift in addition to the one you gave.

If YOU stump your precious little elf, then you, the gift giver, will get a gift instead :)

So hurry and sign up!

Additional Notes:

-On the day of the gift deliveries, this post will be updated with the participating members. That way it won't be a total blind guess as to who your Secret Santa is.

-All gift messages will be judged on creativity. That being said you may be asked to resubmit a new message. It doesn't have to be obvious to let someone guess, but should reflect a part of your personality.

-On 12/12 there will be an RP event "The Gears behind the Bars" for everyone to get to know each other. This should make the Secret Santa a little bit easier to handle.

-The deadline for signing up is 12/12 during the RP Event mentioned above. You will be automatically enrolled into the Secret Santa event by attending unless otherwise specified. Alona and I will be hounding you for your messages :)

-To clarify, in order to participate in the Secret Santa, you MUST also participate in the RP Event linked above.

Awesome idea, these kinds of things are a lot of fun.

One suggestion I have is maybe to move the "Gears behind the bars" event to a different day, because there really isn't a time limit set for the Full Cold Moon, so people participating in that and who are wanting to participate in this could wind up either being unable to attend this or having to cut things short. Or running into the issue of people having been RPing in such a large event for several hours already that they want to go do something else for a while. Now, this isn't to say I don't want to see this event happen, as I do, I'm just concerned that having it the same day as the Full Cold Moon would negatively affect it.

Hmm, I guess I underestimated the length of the Full Cold Moon... 5 hours seems like a long time for RP!

For a large event like the Full Cold Moon, I've seen things like that go on for 6-7 hours or more sometimes, depending on how many people show up and such. And then there's the fatigue from rping with that many people for a few hours, it's a lot like being at a large party.

Well then they're wimps for not learning how to Club-Hop!!

Another thing I think that more people in the RPC need to start considering is how many European players we have. I know that I hear a lot of complaints from some of my members about how so many events are planned at inconvenient times for them. It's totally up to you when you want to start the event, but if you do it later in the evening, you're going to effectively cut out a portion of the people that might want to attend.

And to any Euros or early people out there in RPC-land worry not! We at Elements will be putting our heads together, (and hoping not to bump too hard) to be creating some timezone friendly stuff. Unless anyone out there wants to come move boxes and furniture? *bats her eyelashes*

I have updated the Prelude-RP event :)

The date is now listed as the 12th of December at 15:00 EST // 12:00 PST // 20:00 GMT

Please be sure to PM me with your confirmation of attendance to the RP as I will be hounding everyone who attends the RP event for the information required to participate in this Secret Santa Event.

In addition to these changes is a poll at the top of this post for the Pick up and Delivery dates of the Gifts. Please vote, lest I make another horrible scheduling decision o_o

Well.. As of yet, I'm not playing. But voted for the heck of it. (Looked at both trends and convenience for everyone beforehand, so didn't vote just to screw up data. )
