Then again, I am the type of person who walks in a crowded area and pretty much refuses to budge my walking line.

I used to not be until one day I noticed people would head start towards me and I would always be the one to tuck my shoulder in to keep from hitting them. One day it really pissed me off, so now when I walk and someone heads towards me, I will not tuck my shoulder in. I have walked right into people before because I refuse to budge.

The more crowded the area is the more of an asshole I get with this. Me and the wife was at downtown Disney about a year ago and some fast paced jerk came strutting towards me and I could tell that like me, he wasn't going to move. So as we drew closer I tightened up my shoulder and when he walked into me I threw it forward a bit, almost spun him 180 degrees lol

Now if it's a woman or a child, by all mean, I'll duck out of the way because chivalry. But if your a ddue, fuck off, you go around.

In life, you're often given two choices. One of them is often being the better person. It is a bit weird to know that you're so upset over two-three people who refused to move/didn't notice, that you will literally bump into people.

If I had you do that to me IRL (which apparently, you wouldn't, because women are weak and god forbid you hit one of them with your shoulder ALTHOUGH they're being completely rude by not stepping aside when you're walking in their direction), I think I would stop you and ask for an apology. And maybe apologize myself if I didn't notice.

This said, no callout, since I usually stop people in the street who bump into me without apologizing. I rarely start fights, I just politely ask for an apology. It happens a lot, and most of the time, it's from people who know exactly where they're going. If they didn't notice, most of the time, they apologize, though.

People being rude isn't cool, I guess. It's super hard already to live in crowded places, sometimes...
Don't be one of those "Omg I can hold a door open for myself" people.

And it was multiple times. And I'm an asshole. And ask if you would, I'd love the chance to tell you to open up your eyesThumbsup

The  only time I try to taper things like this down is when I'm genuinely not interested in the guy and don't want him to think otherwise.

That was not my point. My point was, really, to stay in the thread's lane, things that appear insignificant to some people can be really annoying once they pile up on the other side. If I am having a bad day, some guy running into me because his first reflex is not to step aside as some kind of minor, petty vendetta against other people who 'neglected' him in his life, yeah. It sucks.

I think it's kind of stupid, useless, and at the end of the day, makes everyone a bit more salty, when all it takes is one step to the left, or the right.

Edit: I do like it when people hold the door for me. All genders! I hold the door myself quite a lot. It's nice to be nice to other people, but I think it's not your type.

Do not brag about being the person we're complaining about in this thread! Consider using the no-mods-land for that. Cactuar

Talking about steps on the left and the right, have you ever had this sad, sad thing when you run into people without bumping, and you both go in the same direction? MORE THAN TWICE?

I hate this.
I'm notnbragging or boasting. I'm just not going to be diving out of the way for someone when they will not do the same.

Simple as that.

But following your lead of making this a little more civilized, yes, I have had that happen. Then you spend the next 3 minutes swapping positions back and forth, you both stop and motion for the other to go, and it starts all over again lol

To many late night RP sessions?
IF ONLY.

Last night was routing Tecmo Cup Soccer Game (aka Land Blitzball) for an any% speedrun and realizing there's still way too much I don't know about the game (e.g. why can't I get more than 3 people to level vs. GEMS even though I trounced them 5-0, how to level Brook, what causes John to level and is it valuable to level him even though you won't use him halfway through the game, etc.)

Tonight might actually be RP.
DC and Paris are clockwork cities. Everyone has a specific schedule they like to keep and everyone wants their transportation to be efficient.

New York is a blob. Transportation is blobby.

California doesn't need transit etiquette because the only way to get anywhere is to drive and possibly have an avocado in your hand.

In DC, bad things can happen to those who mess with the escalator order. One of the other big nonos is drunk riding.

DC Metro is pretty fucked up and negligent, and we have delays and malfunctions daily. We have all tailored our lives in expectation that the Metro will make us late if we do not act with efficiency.

Well, the sleep schedules we are expected to follow are not the ones biology has dictated for us. We sacrifice all in the name of greater productivity.Sleepy
My natural sleep schedule is 1AM to 10AM-2PM. I spend most of my work day miserable and crabby.
If I could, I would operate on a cat's sleep schedule of 18 hour per day.Sleepy
passive agressiveness infuriates me. just say what youre thinking. just do it. then again my country is famous for our fowardness so maybe its just a cultural thing. Also I hate the american concept of asking "how was your day?" when you in all actuality dont give a fuck. its so disingenuous and fake.

That happens a lot in England, too. People will ask how you are instinctively but then when you answer they're disinterested or just don't respond when you ask the same thing in turn.
